Set-up and Customization

Downloading

• Open up your Firefox browser

• Go to www.zotero.org to download

• After clicking download follow prompts for initial set up.

Customization from Add-ons menu

• In fire fox select Tools from the File menu

• Select Add-ons from the Tools Menu

• Scroll down to Zotero and select Options

Get to options from inside Zotero

• Open Zotero by clicking the icon in the lower right of your screen

• Click on the gear icon

• Click on Preferences

Select citation style (APA, MLA, IEEE, etc)

Disclaimer

Zotero saves to the Firefox browser you are using at the time of the save. So if you save a document while sitting in the library at a library computer, it will not be in your folder on your computer at home.

We suggest using Mobile firefox if you plan on taking your citations with you. http://mobilefirefox.com/
