Current state
• In 2000 as a the first in Poland ZTM introduced the possibility of journey on contactless cards. We use cards of Mifare Classic® standard . Today in Warsaw is using ~2M cards.
• Since June 2008, a passenger who wants to use the personal long-term ticket must have a personalized card with a photo and the first name and last name.
Current stateIn 2008 group of people recovers the 48bit key of algorithm. On this moment the system of Mifare Cards and the information stored in the Mifare cards is not safe too.

Since 2011, the ZTM work is underway to implement NFC as a payment in public transport vehicles.

• NFC tags as a tickets ZTM. Due to the low cost and easy way to distributeNFC tags are a popular storage mediumdifferent kinds of information. They are used most often as labels, marketing materials, as well as business cards.The ZTM has been decided to introduce in the near future NFC tags to facilitate the purchase of tickets short-term (20min). They will function as a sticker placed in special and yet easily accessible for passengers in the public transport vehicles.

The requirement is to have the Passenger active application on phone NFC-readable ticket stored in the memory NFC tag.After applying in phone a tag authentication process starts ticket purchase.After proper authentication information to purchase will be stored in the application.When checking the passenger shall show inspector generated by the application that contains and the encrypted 2D code of information on the ticket, the type and term of validity.

In recent months, was tested functionality NFC phone that using NFC to serve as terminal coding tickets in the Mifare cards.Passengers purchases selected ticket in special website. The Web server sends information about purchasing to the phone number that had previously been a passenger defined in the system. At this point, the application on your phone can write to the Mifare contactless card information about the purchased ticket.

Over the next few weeks in the ZTM will start a new form of contactless tickets. The previously coded tickets on proximity cards will function in the NFC phone.Passengers like so far will be able to purchase a ticket in the existing point of sale and also the website.
