ZXCTN 6300 System Applications ZXCTN 6300 provides access and transmission of packet service an

d TDM service. System also provides perfect service protection, OAM and clock synchronization and has carrier-class service transmission characteristics.

Service transmission layer adopts MPLS/MPLS-TP network technology. Service layer supports Ethernet network. System has the capability of transmitting multiple services such as Ether

net, TDM and Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM). System provides guaranteed QoS. System provides TPS protection switching time less than 50ms. System supports MPLS-TP OAM and Ethernet OAM functions. System meets E-Line, E-LAN and E-Tree service models defined by Met

ro Ethernet Forum (MEF). Supports various L2 VPN service types. As for transmission, it meets synchronous clock and time data required

by 2G and 3G mobile communication base station.

Functional Module Descriptions

master control unit functionsIt monitors the active/standby state, and processes the signals of active/standby handover, maintains and updates L2 and L3 forwarding table.It manages the service boards, power supply board and fan board. Meanwhile, it is responsible for alarming and reporting information, such as board type, board state, reset and interruption.It monitors the board temperature and provides buzz alarm, real time clock functions.It runs routing protocol, maintains the global routing table and forwarding table.It downloads program from Flash saving in the board to the service board just starting by means of out-band communication.

switch unit functionsIt provides higher line speed switch ability with 176 GE. It is responsible for integrated forwarding the whole system service traffic and processing the related services. It caches the service, manages and schedules the queues.

clock unit functionsIt receives the reference clock coming from service boards, 2M BITS, the reference clock inputted by 2M BITS or 1PPS+1ToD clock reference generated by GPS module to generate system synchronization clock and then distributes to service boards for sending data.

OAM processing moduleIt receives and analyses OAM packets, queries OAM information table and makes corresponding processing.It provides OAM packet protocol to downlink services.

Power supply moduleIt receives the external power and converts it to the required standard.

External time input & output interface, the interface type is RJ45. It supports to input & output

phase synchronization information and absolute time value. It is used to receive & send external

time and synchronize the local and external clock.

ALM_IN Alarm input interface, the interface type is RJ45. It supports four channel external alarm inputs.

It is used to receive alarm from other devices.

ALM_OUT Alarm output interface, the interface type is RJ45. It supports three alarm output channels. It is

R4ASB board is an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) interface board. It provides four unchannelized ATM optical interfaces. The bandwidth of

each optical interface is STM-1.

R4ASB Board FunctionsIt supports the configuration for port rate.It supports port digital diagnosis.It supports port laser automatic shutdown.It supports Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) functions, including standard SDH frame structure, SDH frame demarcation, clock recovery, section layer cost handling, alarm, performance statistics and so on.It implements Pseudo Wire Emulation Edge-to-Edge (PWE3) encapsulation and de-encapsulation for ATM cells, and Mapping of attributes in ATM cell headers.

ZXCTN 6300 system provides 30 synchronous clock sources at most. RSCCU3 board provides :

Timer Precision : timeslot unit of IEEE 1588 absolute time timer within ZXCTN 6300 system is ns and the worst timer precision is 10ns.

Time Transfer Precision : In the time transfer network composed by ZXCTN 6300 systems, all nodes synchronize clocks through synchronous Ethernet or other modes. The difference of absolute time transfer is less than 1us after master and slave interfaces of 10 nodes synchronize their clocks.

GPS Clock Performances ZXCTN 6300 supports 1 input and output of phase

synchronization information (1PPS) and absolute time P2P time transfer is tested in the network with at least 30 bor

der clock nodes.
