EasyCapture
With EasyCapture, you can shoot short movies, take pictures, and add
interesting special effects and frames to your video. You can also add
frames to other video chat software to share it with your friends. Installing and uninstalling EasyCapture
1.Insert the software disc that packaged with the notebook computer.

2. From the EasyCapture folder, Double-click the setup file to begin the installation. Select a language from the dialogue and click OK ;

5.Choose an installation directory, and then click Install. The system begins copying the files.

By default, the installation directory of most of the bundled software is

7. Click Finish. The installation completes.

To uninstall EasyCapture, do the following:
1. Go to Start --> Control Panel --> Add/Remove Program --> EasyCapture.
2. Click Change/Remove.
3. Delete EasyCapture when prompted.
Note: Before you install EasyCapture, make sure you have installed the driver program for graphics card.

Shooting video
To shoot video with EasyCapture, perform the following steps:
1. Press Video View in picture shooting mode to enter video shooting mode. 2. Press Record to dispay the dialogue box, then choose the compress mode.3. Choose Self-timer to start shooting automatically after a five-second pause4. Press Stop to stop shooting
Note: Due to the large size of the video files, there is one minute limitations on the
video

Shooting pictures
To shoot video with EasyCapture, perform the following steps:
1. Press Video View in picture shooting mode to enter video shooting mode.
2. Press Record to dispay the dialogue box, then choose the compress mode.
3. Choose Self-timer to start shooting automatically after a five-second pause.
4. Press Stop to stop shooting
Note:
As video files are large in size, there is a one-minute limitation on video. Shooting will stop automatically after one minute.

Adding frames to your video
Frames are images added to your videos. Some frames are static images and others are dynamic and include animation.
1. Press Frame in the left lower part of the window to display the frame panel.
2. Preview and choose a frame.
3. Exit from the frame panel.

Adding special effects to your video
EasyCapture offers 12 special effects to choose from. These effects are
demonstrated in the following graphics.

To add one of these special effects to video, perform the following steps:
• Press the arrow in the right side of the window to open the sliding window.
• Press Special Effects to display the special effects.
• Press Effects Settings to configure the special effect you chose.
Note:
Different special effects have different settings. For example, to add the Mosiac effect, you can circle a portion of the video with your mouse in the video display window after choosing Mosiac.

ColorWindow is a tool for choosing or removing frames applied to videos. You
can also download additional new frames from the Internet by clicking
Download More.

What ?
EnergyCut is a Lenovo power management application for notebook computers.
EnergyCut controls the power consumption and performance of your hardware
and can help extend the life of your notebook battery. EnergyCut is automatically
started when Windows Vista is started.
You can also set global options, which take effect no matter what power scheme
you are currently using.
Why ?
Based on the power options built into Windows Vista, EnergyCut enhances
power management, making the Windows Vista power options more intelligent.
EnergyCut also adjusts the Windows Vista power options interface.

the mouse over the icon to see the current scheme

Predefined power schemes
EnergyCut includes four predefined power schemes:
• Power saver
• Balanced
• Performance
• Quiet Mode
You can select a power scheme by right-clicking the EnergyCut system tray
icon.
You can also switch among the active schemes by pressing the
Novo key.

Setting scheme options
Open the EnergyCut settings window by clicking the icon in the task bar. Set
power scheme options in the Power Schemes tab.
Complete the following steps to customize a power scheme:

• CyberLink Power2Go is a disc-burning program, which is a handy utility for burning discs containing movies made using CyberLink's movie-making software, or when you want to make music discs, data discs, and even bootable discs.

• Power2Go's main features include the following:
– burns data, music, movie, and mixed media discs
– converts audio files to and from the MP3, WAV, and WMA formats as well as different qualities

– Power2Go Express mode supports drag-and-drop to desktop icons for burning in the fewest number of steps
– burns DVD folders to disc
– supports CD text for additional textual information (such as a description of the artist or song) with audio tracks

Realtime Monitor
By setting standby time in Realtime Monitor, the Lenovo VeriFace software
automatically detects if you are away from the computer. When Veriface
determines that you are away, it instructs Windows to lock. Under default
conditions, Realtime Monitor is shut down. You can restart VeriFace from the
Start menu icon.
After restarting, you can ensure that the Realtime Monitor is running by locating
the VeriFace icon on the task bar.

The Log record displays information about any authorized or
unauthorized log in attempts.
