Those are the designated giving to the new high definition screens, along with all the necessary software, wiring, and labor. That project, approved at the last Church Conference, will cost up to $35,000. It will allow us to have two 90- inch screens up front and a 60-inch screen on the balcony wall for those on the platform and in the choir to see. It will allow us to remove that old, portable screen we are currently using and utilize that additional space on the platform. Wow! What a great addition that will be in helping us communicate more effectively. But, there is an offering that is being taken during this same time period of December and January that is more important! I am talking about the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. Our goal is $10,000. If we can raise $35,000 to spend on ourselves to improve our technology, surely we can raise $10,000 to reach our world for Christ. Missionaries have told us for years that they depend on that Lottie Moon Offering to build their churches, improve their teaching and healing ministries, and do things that is completely dependent on whether or not they receive that anticipated money from our offerings at Christmas. Whether you give anything or not to the Screen Project, make sure you feel your spiritual pulse about Lottie. Several of you have asked me to repeat the recommendations I have given you lately regarding some reading matter. I have strongly recommended a book authored by Dallas Willard entitled, The Spirit of the Disciplines. Read it slowly and let it be a devotional time for you. Every page will add to your spiritual maturity. A second book that is easier to read but full of inspiration is Not a Fan by Kyle Idleman. A third book that is fun, fun, fun but will inspire and encourage you is Happy, Happy, Happy by Phil Robertson. WOMEN’S MINISTRY LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS DINNER Please bring auction items to donate!
