Course Rationale

The aim of the Higher Diploma in Business Management is to provideparticipants with advanced management skills and knowledge needed tobecome an effective manager. The practical nature of this programme ensures participants are equipped toplay a vital management role of any organisation. Participants will be equippedto interpret and synthesise information to confidently resolve complex issueswhich face today’s organisations. Participants will also gain a deep level ofknowledge and understanding of current issues within Management for theirimmediate workplace application. It is designed on a modular basis to meet the needs of working professionals.

The target group focuses primarily at Assistant Managers; Junior Managers; andworking individuals who are aspired to become managers.

Entry Requirements

Candidates who apply for this course must:

be at least 20 years of age upon commencement of the course; andhave at least one qualification accredited at MQF Level 4 (i.e. one A level orequivalent in any subject, or any other qualification at MQF Level 4); andhave at least one-year general work experience; orO-level and minimum of five years of work office experience.

Applicants will be asked to submit their application forms with all thenecessary qualifications. The documents will be evaluated by the admissionboard that is formed by the director of studies and registrar. Following themeeting, a decision is taken accordingly and communicated to applicants.

Reading the entire Higher Diploma in Business Management as presented in thispromotional brochure costs €6000.  Upon successfully completing the course, students will be eligible to up to 70% rebatethrough the Get Qualified Scheme.** Due to the modular structure of the course, students may opt to read individualmodules (the entry requirements still apply). The cost of reading one module is €680with the exception of modules 15 to 17 (marked with a *) which cost €1360 each.
