EDITORIAL DESK
I extend my warm gratitude to all my readers.
It gives me immense pleasure to introduce the 1st trimonthly newsletter. I welcome all the students for new
academic session I expect all the students to come for the new session with lot of energy, vigour and a vision to
make teaching learning process quite interesting and soothing, but there may be few who have problems and
grudges but all such obstacles can be removed by proper and goal oriented education. It is rightly said
“Education is a weapon through which all the battle of the world can be triumphed”. Education takes us from the
path of darkness to the path of light. People now a days have become materialistic and in the quest of making
money and leading a luxurious life parents have been taking education as a secondary goal to achieve, but
education has remained a primary motive and it will remain forever. As we Atmiyanns greatly known for
producing excellent result, every year in class 10th
and this year also we have proved that producing remarkable
result does not remain an accident but it has become our habit. As this is year also 19% of our students got 10
CGPA out of total number of the students appeared for class 10th
exam. In this way once again we are the best as
far as percentage of students getting 10 CGPA is concerned. The management, Principal, educational advisor
and last but not the least our hardworking and dedicated teachers want to congratulate all the students and
parents on this grand success.
As we all know, a magazine mirrors a school‟s aims and objectives. It also highlights events, activities and
achievements of students. I do hope the magazine encourages many more students to use it as a platform to
express their creativity.
Once again, we express gratitude to the Management, Trustees, the Principal, Vice- principal, Educational
advisor and last but not the least, our ever supporting colleagues.

TEACHER‟S CORNER
Should teachers be friendly with the students on
social networking site?
Social media is taking over how people
communicate, and almost everyone has a face book,
Twitter or whatsapp account. However, there may be
boundaries as to who can be connected to, like
teachers and their students. Teachers should keep
their relationship with students on a professional
level. When teachers act at the same way as
teenagers do, they should be treated like teenagers.
Teachers have an obligation to act responsibly and
professionally in the classroom. This is not to say
that teachers should not be friendly; however, this
does mean that teachers should not be friends.
Although students and teachers can be friendly in
real life, their roles do not permit them to be friends
on the social networking sites.
Seema.A.Kingrani
(PRT)
As per my opinion, teachers and students should not
be friendly on social media such as face book or
whatsapp. Teachers are in a position of responsibility
and need to keep up professional respect. Social
media is about connecting friends. A teacher should
not be friends with their pupils , even if they have a
great relationship .They need to keep a professional
distance from students to keep a level of professional
that would otherwise disappear .A teacher needs to
be a one who makes sure it is always a professional
relationship .Some school officials are trying to find
the middle ground .Recently , in New York City
Department of Education developed guidelines that
say teachers can create professional social media
sites such as Face book pages created for a class or
project , but should not communicate with students
through their persona

Social media, is the source of information, a computer
mediated tool that allow people or companies to
create, share or exchange information regarding
various activities.
Dear readers / friends, in this internet era, we all are
using frequently social media applications that are
FB, Whatsapp, Line, G talk and Skype etc. As a
teacher the question arises that is it safe for us to be
friends with our students on social networks such as
FB, Whatsapp etc?
In first look we can say that it is helpful as teachers
can be a positive influence in young people‟s lives.
Teachers are able to assist parents and establish better
relationships with students and their family online.
They can help students in their homework also.
But personally I feel it has a dark side also. Teachers
and students should not be involved in personal life of
each other. Teachers and students have different
personas in the classroom and outside it, and the two
should not be mixed.
Rather than be friends online on FB etc. appropriate
relationship can be built by attending the office hours
and emailing for class related advice.
In order to gain respect from a student, the
relationship between both should be professional.
Female teachers should be more careful towards this.
As a teacher I suggest we can friendly with our
students but should not be friends, on social
networking sites. If it is require, then we should make
some official group for the same, using personal
security system.

Topic: HOW WOULD I SPENT MY
SUMMER VACATION?
Anamika kumari of 6th A says …
“The summer vacation had turned out once more. I
was very happy as I forgot about the daily puzzle &
routine of school. I was unsure about my plan of
summer vacation & was behaving like drifter.
Ultimately, I thought to extract much from this
summer vacation. I charted out my options to take up
some types of excercise like running, walking
joinning dance classes etc. But I found that my inner
soul is not satisfied. I thought to be honest myself &
planned to make the best of my vacation time during
this vacation.
This summer vacation was not spent entirely in
seeking fun, but used as a part of learning to enhance
my weakness of algebra. During day period, I finished
all chapters of mathematics. It is unbelievable that I
had become so strong in algebra after that summer
vacation.
I had spent my summer vacation very nicely!!!
Debashish Roy of 7th A says…
Summer vacations are probably the happiest period in
a student‟s life. Summer vacation generally
commences from second week of May every year.
The purpose of summer vacations is multiple. First is
a relaxation. Second is to fight over the unbearable
heat. The third purpose is to provide a change to a
student to make up his deficiency in any particular
subject.
I planned my program in such a manner as to obtain
maximum benefits. I enjoyed summer vacation with
my family. We went Kashmir,‟ the heaven of India.
„We also went at shirdi sai at Nagpur, Mumbai.
I enjoyed alot in travelling to differnt places, eating
variety of new foods.
Heena parihar of 6th B says… I had gone to Somnath & Dwarka. Dwarka is a
wonderful place. In that temple the guide guides us
about how this temple was made. Somnath temple is
full of gold. It is the most likable place. I enjoyed to
see the idol of lord Shiva. People visit this temple to
fulfill their wishes and pray Almighty to for give them
for their mistakes.
Then we went to Rajkot, there we enjoyed in the fun
world. It is a place of free rides only. Then we went to
Mcdonnald puff & burgers. It was too tasty better
than pizza. I enjoyed a lot in my summer vacation.
Anjali Sharma of 6th B says… I love summer vacation. This is the best part of the
year as this period is without studies and homework. I
spent this summer vacation at my grandparent‟s house
in Kerala. My three cousins came from Pune & we
had a lovely time together. My Grandparents live in a
huge old fashioned house with a red tiled roof. There
is also a large garden with a huge jackfruit tree, a
mango tree & many cocunut trees. We children had
great time there.
Whenever it rained, we danced in garden. We plucked
jasmine flowers & helped granny to make garlands. It
was a great fun to play with granny‟s huge black cat.
Throughout our stay granny served us delicious &
healthy food of all sorts. Every evening grandfather
took us for a walk to the nearby river. After few days
the school will reopen but i will certainly visit my
grandparents‟ house next summer.
Daksh barge of 7th A says… Holidays are the routine affair in the passage of any
school year. It is not all holidays long or short that we
are able to enjoy. Coming after holidays while at
other times a problem in the family makes it difficult
for us to step out of the house. However, at times we
have such a memorable time in the holidays that they
leave a mark on minds.
There are long summer vacations of the year 2016.
My mother planned the holidays at the home of my
grandparents. At first, when the suggestion had come
I was not too happy about the programme. I wondered
what I would do in the company of my grandparents,
& that also for two months. With a lot of grieving &
objection I finally agreed on proposal.
Finally we reached at my grandparent‟s house in
Mumbai. This feeling of boredom persisted for two
days. At last I had a suprise of a pleasure on the third
day when eight of my cousins also arrived. Now I
know I will have a great fun with them.
The most impressive place was marine drive, a
location which is just around the sea. At night with
the lights simmering around the sea makes it look like
a fairy land. I was regretting in the beginning but it
was a memorable event. It was an experience of
complete enjoyment.

Aastha Smriti Jha Of 7th B Says… “I would like to spend my summer vacations with
great fun & also by doing something interesting. In
my summer vacation I would like to go to Goa for
spending my vacations. There we will have lots of
fun and we will visit each and every beach. I also
want to spend my summer vacations by giving
happiness & lots of joy to needy people. I would like
to go to them and give as much joy and happiness to
them by giving them clothes, food &lots of good
memories. According to me in these two ways I
would like to spend my vacations. Really it will give
me satisfaction & I will be remembering these
memories as my sweet memories of my life!”
Topic: SHOULD UNIFORMS BE
MANDATORY FOR TEACHERS?
Muskan Verma of 10th A says… Yes, it is mandatory because teaching is very
dignified profession. It is not acceptable that the
teachers can wear whatever they want. Teachers
should be an appropriate role model for students and
they should be the ideal person of each and every
child.
Imagine that a class is sitting at their desks waiting
for their class to begin when the teacher walks in
wearing old sweat pants and a stained top….Would
you think the students will listen to the class!!!! It is
good for teachers to follow a dress code at school. If
a teacher dresses like a student, then she or he will be
treated as one among them. The teacher must wear a
decent dress and must follow a uniform so that a
positive atmosphere can be created.
Renu Yadav of IX A says… Personality matters…
Teachers should have a dress code in schools and
I‟m sure that it will develop their personality and
confidence. The children of today‟s generation want
their teachers in smart and energetic look with proper
stylish dress code. As teaching is a dignified
profession, it is compulsory to follow a dignified
dress code which will increase the value of the
profession.
Ankush Chirimar of X A says…
Uniform is mandatory for teachers as it increases the
confidence, dignity, and also the discipline of a
school. There should be a mutual relationship
between students and teachers in a school campus.
Though dressing and costumes hardly matters, it
affects the total discipline of a school. A well simple
and sober dress code will definitely create a good
academic atmosphere.
Amishi Badole of XII (Commerce) says…
It is good if teachers also start wearing uniforms. It
shows the discipline of the school. The relation
between students and teacher can also be developed
through this. Another factor is that if teachers will
wear uniform then there is a vast chance to increase
unity among them and they will surely find the feeling
of equality. So according to me teachers should have
particular dress code.
