"We awarded 26 leading industrialists of north India for doing outstanding work in their field of business and the aim of India Today is to recognize their feat and encourage them. Banday has done really well in his field and was awarded in recog- nition of his achievements", Rajesh Malik, a senior India Today official said. Banday Impex Pvt Ltd is one of Kashmir’s leading manufacturers and export- ers of food items, spices and saffron. Ashiq Banday said he felt humbled by the award and credited his young workforce for this achievement. He said his company is manufactur- ing more than 100 different food products that have been received very well in India and outside. He informed that the com- pany has started operations outside India as well. "I want to send my people (youth) outside so that they can get good exposure of work cul- ture apart from lucrative financial support", he said. The unique art initiative is being promoted in Kashmir by SPACE Communications, Event and Sports Management Com- pany and J&K Tourism. “This is another new format of tourism that J&K state is visualizing in the field of art,” Director Tourism, Talat Parvez said. “We believe that tourism industry should add on tourism products and that has been our mission. Arts tourism focuses on inclusive growth of artisans who can learn further value additions by connecting to artists. This journey of 50 days will commence from Kashmir with the unveiling of first 3D street painting and conclude in Kerala. We thought to introduce it in Kash- mir as it is beneficial for locals and attraction for tourists. The artistic team is repre- sented by Master Street painter, Guinness World Record holder and renowned 3D street artist Limnesh Augustine based in Bahrain. He will be joined by Mexican artist Vero Gonzalez who has multiple Guinness Records and global awards to his credit in this art form. Vero is an eminent 3D artist and a guide and mentor for several budding 3D artists. Completing the artistic pack is Aguilargua- jardol, who is a Mexican Master Street Painter, 3D Street Artist and Chalk/ Copy Artist. Other members of the group are Jinsi Babu and Samadhan. The award to Chaya has come in recognition of his “outstanding contri- bution in promotion of tourism industry” in Jammu and Kash- mir, a statement here said.
