Once in the vineyard, the guide will explain the Champagne soil, the three main grape varieties, & the vines throughout the seasons from the pruning in winter to ripening & harvest in autumn. Visit with a wine grower followed by a wine tasting session.

Chenonceau 'The Castle of the Ladies'. This romantice pleasure palace was created from the Renaissance onward by a series of aristocratic women.

The chateau stretches across the Cher River with a 197 ft (60 m) gallery built over a series of arches, its elegant beauty reflected in the waters. The granduer continues inside with splendidly furnished rooms, airy bedchambers, fine paintings, and tapestries.

The women responsible for Chenonceau each left ther mark. Catherine Briconnet, wife of the first owner, built the turreted pavilion and one of the first straight staircases in France here. Henri II's mistress, Diane de Poitiers, added the formal gardens and arched bridge over the Cher River.

Catherine de Medicis transformed the bridge into an Italian style gallery; Loouise de L'Orraine, bereaved wife of Henri II, in herited the chateau in 1590 and painted the ceilings black and white, the colours of royal mourning; Madame Dupin, a cultured 18th-century landlady, saved the chateau from destruction during the Revolution; and Madame Pelouze undertook a complete restoration in 1863.

Then, a few kilometers further you will stop at a small town of Vouvray very famous for its Chenin Blanc wine.

Your wine tasting at a house like Cave Bredif will be a nice experience before continuing to Villandry where you will have your lunch, for example at the restaurant called 'la Doulce Terrasse', 3 course menu without drinks.

Villandry Gardens. 8:00am: Appointment in a charming restaurant located in the centre of Avignon. (you will make your own way to the restaurant.) Meet and greet by the Chef and registration of the trainees. Creation of the recipe cards to be preformed. (Theoretical demonstration with practice.) During the Aperitif, various ideas and comments eill be exchanged about the course. Your will learn how you can accommodate the meal with wineLunch (drinks included) with the Chef and informal talk.

3:00 pm: pick up by minibus. Your English speaking driver/guide will take you to the wine road. Wine-tasting in a cellar in Tavel, first Rose wine in France, or in Beaumes-de-Venise, exceptional soil located at the foot of the majestic Dentelle de Montmirail and the Mont Ventoux. Continue to Chateauneuf-du-Pape for wine-tasting in a cellar, called the 13 vine-plant's country. In each cellar, you will discover the history of the house and the guide or the wine owner will offer you a visit of the winery with explanations about the harvest, the AOC Cotes du Rhones.

Day 1Beginning of the afternoon you will be transfered to the Mont Saint Michel. We will assist you with your check in at your hotel. You will then discover the magnificent bay of the Mont Saint Michel with a private historian guide. A great insight on this wonder, an approach to the history complemented with the tides explanation which makes the site so spectacular. The Wonder of the Western World forms a tower in the heart of an immense bay invaded by the highest tides in Europe.

At the entrance of this medieval town you will see the ancient Burgher's Guardroom now the Tourist Office. Fortified with its portcullis, you will find the "Grande Rue" or main street with its museums, shops, and houses dating from the 15th centuries. Finally you get to the "Grande Degre" of Grande Staircase whose majesty is a prelude to the "Marvel".

After admiring the Abbey church, you will enjoy the beautiful and matchless view over the bay when going down the ramparts path. Dinner will be served at the restaurant of the hotel.

Day 2 After breakfast, you will have the opportunity to discover the Mont Saint Michel masterpiece, accompanied by your tour leader. If tides permit it, you will go for a walk in the bay itself. You will then enjoy a typical Norman lunch before we head off to Bayeux, the Capital of the Norman Beaches.

In Bayeux, we will take a stroll around the beautiful area of the Cathedral, rich in old buildings with lots of charm and authenticity. Day 3Today is a full discovery day of the Canadian and American Landing Beaches privately guided in English by a historian specialist. Just before 8 o'clock in the morning of June 6, 1944, 21,400 soldiers, of whom 14,000 were Canadian, under the command of General Keller, landed on Juno Beach. Re-live the pitiless battles fought by the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division in the different villages between the beaches of the town of Caen and visit those who remain here buried in the soil of France, in the military cemeteries.

The Omaha Beach sector will allow you to understand the difficulties facing the American troops who assaulted this part of the Normandy coast. As well as this, you will see the impressive long-range fortified heavy gun battery that was on the western side of the beach at Pointe du Hoc. You will also experience the American Cemetery where the young soldiers who died for their country and for the freedom of Western Europe. The tour will end with the visit of the Longues sur Mer gun batter where the 152mm artillery guns can still be seen. Dinner and night at the hotel in Bayeux.

Day 4This morning, after hotel check out, your tour leader will take you to the Tapestries of Bayeux: Listed as a "Memory of the World" by UNESCO, the Bayeux Tapestry (Calvados) is an embroidery, 70 meters long, made in the 11th century, Celebrating the conquest of England by William, Duke of Normandy, this linen canvas was probably embroidered by monks in the south of England after the Battle of Hastings on October 14th, 1066.
