One night they woke up and their owl mother was gone.“Where’s my mummy? I want my mummy” said Bill.“I think she has gone hunting said Sarah”. But she didn’t come back. They sat on the tree and waited. A big branch for Sarah, small branch for Percy and a small piece of ivy for Bill.“Where’s my mummy? I want my mummy” said Bill. But she didn’t come back. It was dark in the woods. They all sat together.“She will bring us mice and things that are nice”“Where’s my mummy? I want my mummy” said Bill. They closed their eyes and wished she would come back.
