All the equations and definitions you need for revision.

Good revision pictures of field lines with some good true/false questions.

Good revision followed by discussion of domains, with interactive image.

A fun, well drawn page where you guess what each family member is doing

wrong. A lot of fun and a good intro to safety.

Good presentation as intro to electrostatics.

How charge is lost to the air. Nice animation and good description. Not very

long.

The history of the van de Graaf generator, very interesting with some nice

photos. I recommend this as the size of some of the ones they built are amazing!

Have a go at placing positive and negative charges in front of a proton gun to

see the effect they have on the proton's path.

How lightning occurs. Good descriptions and diagrams, well worth a visit.

Maybe a directed research task

Forces and Motion

Concept posters and links

A great page to carry out a "falling mass" experiment, and even take the

results and write it up as an investigation!

Match the correct definition with the word, lots of definitions!

A quick interactive test, fun and good for revision or a end of unit test.

Page 12: GCSE - physics.bounce1.infophysics.bounce1.info/bigbangscience/year10/useful_web/Y10 uwebs.doc · Web viewGCSE. . Biology . . Humans as organisms

Pupils read each page and base their decision on how high the speed limit

should be using all the info. Good fun!

Good interactive demo of motion in 2D. Well worth it as a good explanation of

vectors.

variables affect the crash, (with elastic or inelastic option). Short and sweet. Not very

exciting graphics though.

Very good interactive presentation on scalars and vectors.

A presentation on acceleration.

Guess where the ball will land. Very short, but potential for explanation and

consolidation of knowledge.

put them in a liquid of varying density to see if they will float or not.

A short activity to investigate the factors affecting projectile motion. Use with

all ages since you can take this as far as you want.

This activity lets you study the projectile motion in a "golf" like setting. Give

yourself a bit more of a challenge by selecting the "air" option.

Animation of the classic monkey / hunter experiment.

Balancing a see-saw, a great activity to really get the pupils used to balancing

moments
