Guifa and the aroma of roast A starved man, with little money in his pocket, walked in front of a restaurant where the owner was roasting meat. The aroma of the roasting meat triggered his hunger but not having enough money to buy meat, he went to a nearby bakery and bought a loaf of bread. Then, he returned to the restaurant and sat there, so he could eat the bread while savoring the aroma of the roasting meat. When he finished eating his bread, the owner of the restaurant approached him and said Since you tasted the aroma of my roast, you must now pay me! The starving man didnt have enough money to pay him and so he was taken to judge Guifa. The owner of the restaurant approached judge Guifa and said This man tasted the aroma of my roast while eating his bread and when I asked him to pay for this, he refused! Judge Guifa asked him, How much money do you want? The restaurant owner specified: "Five pence for the aroma of my roast, my dear Judge! Judge Guifa took five pence out of his pocket and dropped the coins onto the desk so that they could clink. He then asked the restaurant owner Did you hear the sound of the coins as I dropped them on the desk? The restaurant owner replied Of course, your Honour! it was a pleasant, ringing sound! But what do you mean? Judge Guifa replied As this poor man ate the aroma of your roast, I have paid you with the sound of my coins! Now, you can go away! While the restaurant owner was leaving with scorn, judge Guifa invited the poor man to eat with him at his house. 1. Electra and Panagiota 2. Maria and Niki 3. Vaharis and George 4.Jim and Stamos 5.
