ANTIFALL DEVICESFull body harnesses in compliance with EN 361 (fall arrest eyelet) con-sist of a belt with a minimum width of 45 mm and enclose the wholebody. The harness also has a rear fall arrest eyelet, which is used tomount the lanyards, because only here can the impact can be ab-sorbed. A connection to the lateral eyelets is only allowed when using a pole restraint rope.Safety belts in compliance with EN 358 (restrain eyelet) consist of a beltwith a minimum width of 85 mm and enclose the hip like a belt. The beltalso has two lateral restrain eyelets, which are used to secure oneself tothe desired position by means of restrain- or pole restraint ropes. Safetybelts are only allowed in working conditions without the danger of falls.Lanyards must not be longer than 2 meters and must comply with EN354. When using pole restraint ropes, the fall height must not exceed0,5 meters. In other cases, an energy absorber in compliance with EN355 must be used, which reduces the impact to below 6 KN. Lanyardsmust be fastened to an anchor device in compliance with EN 795 (min.10 KN strength for more than 3 min.).Lanyards and full body harnesses and safety belts must be revised atleast once per year.
