Have You Paid?

(T' 1919 Duess;)

$3.65 PER YEAR

. DOES THIS MEAN YOU?DID you cvei realize thai you are a vital pari of this organization? That the Oidei can be as great or assitIl as the iiidi'iclual niembers desire to make it? We, of Course, have lo lave leaders and someone todo the heavy cud of the work, but Illiless you give him or them your suppot t and bacic up their efforts, their time is largely wasted. If I-bo-i-bo is not active in your immediate vicinity, it is your own fault, noi the Order's. I-Ioo.IIoo willreturn a double divideil(l for every move YOu nalce to advance the best interests of the Oi der, l)ut it cannotP'y tiis divicjentl itiilil you invest a little of your slarc time and effort in giving IJoo-lIoo the Oppoitunity tocani the (lividend.By triurnl)hantly overcoming the greatest trials and difficulties that ever beset a fraternal ordcr, I-Ioo-FToohas fully demonstrated ils PvCr for good. It has proven beyond all doubts that it holds a place in the hearts oflumbermen deeper and stronger than any other organization concctcd with the illdtlslry. Where can you gowithin the whole realm of Ltlml)erdonl and get the sanie opportunity for being of sei vice to your fellow-lumber-iiian and getting iii return service for yourself, and learning how to make friends among those engaged in thesame line of business as yourself, which, after all, is the best money-makiii inveslnient we can l)OSSIbly makeand l)y dQing so Otl advance the best interests of the industryout of which you niake your bread aocI butter. We do not eXl)Cct you to put ¡II any large amount of your time on Hoo-I-ioo work, hut we do expect you togive such active s1lp)ort as is withiii yourpowcr. There is always on or inor members in your Vicillity whoif given a little active Support are always willing to take tue heavy end ofihe load and carry on. The Orderof Hoo-I-Ioo stands rmly on a basis of economics. That is to say, the position that the commercial interestsof the world are paramount in importance aticl that a unity ol business interests constitute the real "tic thatbinds" iñen in bondsof friculiship. Then when you know that I-Ioo-IIoo has banded lumbermen together withbonds of friendship that no trials or difficulties, no matter how great, could break, is it not a wise ProPosition;1)0th in your own interests and that of thc lulfll)er industry, to do your share in l)Uildillg up the organization inyour community?

'The returns of the recent splendid big concatenations given elsewhere in this issue shov what I-bo-I-bo can(lo when they try. If you do the same in your community, there is nothing more cerlain than that you will bejust as successful. Try it out and you vill discover there arc golden cords of friendship always hanging withinyour reach. Ail you ¡iced to do is to grasp them.

THE 1919 ANNUAL

W1-JEREVERyou meet an old FIoo-J-Joo who has attended one or wore annual lueeli;igs lic vill invariablytell you that he always had a better time at a FJoo-Hoo annual than at any other meeting he ever at-tended. There is something about the spirit that Pervades a Boo-Boo annual meeting which draws menlogether in true friendly intercourse. Other iunhl)er associations liavc line, big, successful meetings, but theyall miss the spirit of personal fricn(lly contact which has always ben the most prominent factor in connectionwithour annual meetings.

: This year wiJl be a great victory rejuvenation celebration of Hoo-FJoo, Numerous old-time members whohave not been ableto attend an annual forseveral years have announced their intention to be present. Therei!1 be a reunion of the House of Ancients every past-Sniik who can possibly get there is coming to once moremingle with his old friends andrenew acquaiñtanceships that have méant so much l hini, Scorcs of our new
