    The Our Mission Statement

As committed Christians of the Roman Catholic Church in Richmond, Indiana, we are a community, centered in Christ, rooted in the Eucharistic communion, journeying together in our call to be

holy, constantly discerning the charisms of the Spirit, making one another

disciples of Christ and seeking God’s kingdom in service, stewardship and

    charity.

    Fr. Sengole, and the Parish

    Staff would like to wish

    everyone a Very Merry

    Christmas!

    Letter from the Pastor

    Dear parish family,

I am truly happy that I am able to go home to

India to visit my family. It has been two years since

my last visit. Every time I go home, usually once in a

year, my nieces and nephew get so excited that they

want to spend all their time with me! I am looking

forward to seeing my family and friends. The weath-

er should be anywhere between 70 to 90 in January! I

will be leaving on Monday, December 28th and re-

turn on Friday, January 22nd. During this time, Dea-

con Jim will be offering communion service on

Wednesdays beginning Dec 30, followed by adora-

tion at Holy Family Campus. Please make use of this

opportunity. On weekends, three different missionar-

ies will come and appeal to your generosity for their

ministries. Please prayerfully consider their minis-

tries. More info will appear in the bulletin.

Regarding my project – this time I would like

to pick 25 poor students from and near my hometown

and assist them with their tuition and uniform. I be-

lieve in the concept of “little skin on the bone” – so

the parents do retain the major responsibility in edu-

cating their children. I am glad that you are able to

join me in materializing this project. Please keep me

in your prayers for a safe trip home.

If you have not registered for Christmas

Mass, please visit our parish website:

www.setoncatholics.org and register your family for

Mass. We want to make sure that everyone is offered

a safe environment to participate at the Christmas

Masses. You may also call the parish office to do the

    same.

Continue to watch Dr. Ralph Martin’s advent

mission study on The Fulfillment of All Desire – to

know the saints’ way of being holy. This past Sun-

day, Dr. Martin talked about sins and what we need

to do about turning away from sins and growing clos-

er. Turning away from sins is always paralleled with

growing in virtue. As John of the Cross points out, a

greater attraction, a greater love has to inflame us in

order to enable us to let go of lesser discorded loves

(Pg. 119, FAD). And Thérèse teaches, a greater de-

sire for heaven and to enter into the kingdom of God

should be welling up in us each day as we grow in

love for God and hatred for sin.

All Dr. Martin’s talks are available on

www.renewalministries.net – please access it and all

other materials he has for free.

Seminarian Jack Wright is with us during this

Christmas and one other seminarian, Lance Anthony

from my home diocese in India will join us as well. I

am so glad that our parish enjoys the presence of

these men who have said a generous “Yes” to serve

the Church and preach the Gospel. They need your

prayers each day, please remember them in your pre-

cious prayers. We welcome them with hearts full of

    joy!

    Peace and blessings,

    Fr. Sengole Gnanaraj STL

laicos y no tienen suficiente educación teológica y dejan

    santidad?

    Rosary

Starting the weekend of January 9th & 10th before two of

our Masses, the Knights of Columbus will be leading the

Rosary. More information will come in the bulletin.
