+ Criteria and Procedure for Identification

All new incoming students in grades K-8 are given the DRA in order to determine current reading level.

The previous year’s Spring DRA scores are reviewed to determine which students are reading below grade level.

Conversations occur with the classroom teachers to see if they concur.

All available pertinent assessments are reviewed, including students’ academic history.

We use the NWEA data in grades 3-8

Student progress is monitored all year long and students are moved in and out of the program as deemed necessary.
