Fundraiser

Students in grades K-6

participated in a “Pennies

for Patients” fundraiser to

benefit the Leukemia and

Lymphoma Society. A

total of $2,688.03 was

collected. First place was

Mrs. Phyllis Menser’s class, followed by

Mrs. Sherri Lanham’s class in second place

and Mrs. Martha Davis’s class came in

third place. Good job!

DISTRICT RESULTS

The Dawson Springs High School academic team competed Saturday, January 28 at Livingston Co HS.

The team was runners up district champion.

Math -Ryan Caudill 2nd place, Jalyn Walls 4th place

Social Studies -Forrest Winters 1st place

Language Arts - McCade Freeman 2nd place, Alyssa Reece 5th place

Arts and Humanities - Ryan Caudill 1st place, Katie Crider 2nd place, Alexis Smith 5th place

Writing composition - Alyssa Reece 1st place

Future Problem Solving team Katie Crider, Hailey Riley, Sarah Huddleston, Tracy Thomas- 2nd place

Quick Recall Team McCade Freeman, Forrest Winters, Ben Puckett, and Ryan Caudill - 2nd place

The team will advance to Regional competition on Tuesday, Feb. 14 and Saturday Feb.18.

The team is coached by Brandon Godbey. Future Problem Solving coach is Beth Dillingham.

REGIONAL RESULTS

Advancing at Regional competition to compete in the State Governor’s Cup Competition are

Ryan Caudill in Arts & Humanities and McCade Freeman in Language Arts.

The State Governor’s Cup will take place in Lexington on March 10 - 12.
