FCAT 2.0 Science Grades 5 and 8

The assessments begin in Spring 2012. All items are multiple-choice. The benchmarks are grouped together by

similar content. All groups are annually assessed.

The Test Item Specifications are available on DOE’s website (see end of presentation for link).

FCAT 2.0 Science Grade 5

Comprehensive assessment based on benchmarks from grades 3 – 5

Test length: 60 – 66 questions (including field-test items*)

Administration time and achievement levels have not yet been determined.

* Field-test items do not count toward student scores.
