Chapter Thirty-sixEzekiel’s Last Prophecies

1 Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD:     First, we see the LORD here identifying Ezekiel as the son of man, a title that he has used of Ezekiel seventy-seven times already in the book that goes by his name, and the LORD will use it again another seventeen times when referring to Ezekiel before we come to the books close.   It is a title used only 197 times in the whole Bible, ninety-four times towards Ezekiel, eight times it is directed to mankind as whole, and the other ninety plus times they are used by Jesus Christ when he speaks of himself to Israel. It is also used by others when referring to Christ.     It is used of Christ to link divinity to humanity. Jesus Christ was fully God, and he was fully man by the incarnation when God was manifested in the flesh 2,000 years ago.    It is used of Ezekiel to remind Israel that they are sons of men themselves which should humble them when they read the prophecies concerning Israel in the end times.   This is also the second time the LORD tells Ezekiel to prophesy to the mountains. He first did this in chapter six when he prophesied against the mountains of Israel, and now near the end of the prophecy of Ezekiel he is told to prophesy for the mountains of Israel.    Ezekiel’s first prophecy concerned Israel’s death as a nation and the departure of the glory of the LORD from their Temple in Jerusalem, and this, his last one prophecies of the nation’s dry bones coming back to life, and the Temple being rebuilt by the Messiah and the Glory of the LORD returning to Temple.    The book of Ezekiel in a nutshell is God telling Israel, “Look, I’ve got bad news, and I’ve got good news. I am going to give you the bad news first.”2 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession: 3 Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people: 4 Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue

of the heathen that are round about; 5 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey. 6 Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen: 7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame.    The heathen are not bearing their shame today for how they have treated Israel, how can people say this is being fulfilled today? It is not. The Lord God is a jealous God and he has promised that land with all her mountains, hills, rivers and valleys to the children of Israel.    Those who have taken the land and have appointed it theirs like the Palestinians, Jordanians, the people of Gaza, Golan and others who still possess Israel’s land, God is going to dispossess them and give it all to the Children of Israel because of his promise to them and because of his name sake.    God did not fulfill this partially in 1948 with the Jews becoming a nation and them beginning to return, only to lose the land again, and then for God to fulfill it again at the end of the Great Tribulation.     God will do that one time at the end of that time, so Israel will know that he is the LORD when he brings them out of their captivity the final time.   This is the dispensation of grace given to the Apostle Paul for the Body of Christ and it was a mystery hid in God until he gave it to the Apostle Paul to give unto us today.   God is not fulfilling prophecy to Israel today, but he will once again after the rapture occurs, and when this dispensation ends, then Israel’s prophesy program will start back up again.    The Generation that came back in 1948 are all dead now, and any who were born in the land in 1948 have been in the land seventy years already.    The teaching that that generation shall not pass away till all be fulfilled has prophecy peddlers all scrambling to explain away their previous false predictions now that 2018 has come upon us. That’s 70 years and climbing.    I can explain it easier. Those people did not practice 2 Timothy 2:15 when interpreting the Bible so they wrongly divided that scripture and now

they just ignore their old predictions and hope no one remembers them. We remember.8 But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come. 9 For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown: 10 And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded: 11 And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.    Preacher, after Preacher, will tell you that these prophecies have been fulfilled, or are being fulfilled today because of Israel becoming a nation back in 1948, but they are wrong! This is the dispensation of grace today.    We are not a part of the prophecy program of Israel. Matthew 24 is about Israel in the end times. Signs are not going to start appearing until it is the time for Israel once again. The Jews require a sign.   Israel is coming back to the land today, and the waste places are being rebuilt, but, Israel is back in the land in unbelief, these verses speak of Israel returning in belief, not unbelief.    You are ahead of yourself prophecy experts. Israel does not now know, nor accept Jesus as the LORD, they didn’t then in 1948, and they don’t know.   Israel will be re-established in the day when the LORD returns, and he gathers his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heaven to the other and Israel will be born again as a nation in ONE DAY, not the trickling over 70 years, and they will come back knowing that Jesus is LORD, not in unbelief as we see today. Matthew 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.    Here we see the LORD gather his elect (believing Israel) back in the land in their Kingdom and then the prophecies mentioned here will be fulfilled, not before, not back in 1948.

   Then Israel will be born in one day as a nation when God makes it happen, not the United Nations taking a vote.    The 1948 is the last generation is a false hope and it is deceiving millions of Jews into thinking their Kingdom is coming as they usher it in, but what is coming is the Anti-Christ who will deceive them and take some of the six million into captivity before Christ delivers them at his return.Isaiah 66:7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. 8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.    Israel is born again in one day when God miraculously does it, and the amount of immigration for unbelieving Jews for the last seventy years will not be remembered when all of believing Israel is gathered back and re-established, in belief, in just one day.   Seventy-five percent of Jews in Israel today are Atheist. The majority of the Jews that are in Israel today do not believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, let alone recognize Jesus as their Messiah, this is not what the prophets are saying.   Many of the religious that are there in Israel today believe in a mixture of Judaism and the Kabbalah, or Judaism as defined not by the Torah but by the “Oral Traditions”.   This is nothing more than modern day Pharisaical Judaism mixed with eastern mysticism and repackaged to appeal to Jewish people and their superstitious leanings that unfortunately are prevalent in all societies, not just Israel. 12 Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforth bereave them of men. 13 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they say unto you, Thou land devourest up men, and hast bereaved thy nations; 14 Therefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereave thy nations any more, saith the Lord GOD. 15 Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou bear the reproach of the people any more, neither shalt thou cause thy nations to fall any more, saith the Lord GOD.    That is not happening yet because Israel is back in the land and they are back as heathen themselves. They do not know the LORD yet.

   The shame of the heathen is the worshipping of other gods, which are no gods, in the groves and pagan temples that they set high upon the mountains that Ezekiel is prophesying to.16 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 17 Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman. 18 Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it: 19 And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them. 20 And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land. 21 But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.    Israel is still today as a removed woman. There is little love for the LORD among Israeli’s today. They are very promiscuous in Israel today.    They went out in the lands and brought their idolatry with them and now that some of them are back in the land they have brought new idolatries back with them. They are not back in faith. Not even close.22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went. 23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. 24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.    God is not sanctified in Israel today! Israel cannot even blush today. The divorce rate, abortion rate, spouse abuse rate, along with drug abuse in Israel is way above that of most nations.  If the verses, we just read happened to Israel in 1948 then what we are about to read should have happened in 1948 as well. It did not! 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.    Israel is a land filled with idols today. On many door and windows in their homes and their shops and hanging from their car mirrors you will see

their idols. The Kabbala good luck charms with an all-seeing eye in the middle of a hand to protect them from harm.   Israel will however be brought back into the land by the LORD on eagle’s wings after the Time of Jacob’s Trouble, and he will wash them with clean water and they shall be clean from all their filthiness, and from their idols.   This was like what was happening with the baptism of repentance that John the Baptist and Jesus’ Apostles were administering to those in Israel who had repented of breaking the covenant they made with God.    The nation of Israel was given the Law at Mt. Sinai and they were told if they would keep the Covenant that they would be a peculiar treasure unto God, and an holy nation, a kingdom of priests. Part of the requirements for a priest to begin his ministry was that he had to first be washed with clean water. Exodus 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: 6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.    Israel, in her Kingdom will become that kingdom of priests that will take the word of the Lord out to the Gentile Nations, but they first must be cleansed and have God’s word written on their hearts instead of some cold hard stones. That hasn’t happened yet either!   The gospel of the Kingdom will first be preached in all nations (not the gospel of the grace of God we preach today) and then shall the end come.    With the end of the time of Jacob’s Trouble will come the new beginning in Israel’s Kingdom, not before, not now. Not in unbelief! If that doesn’t convince you the next verses should:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.    Is that fulfilled today? Absolutely not! In no way is it being fulfilled today in Israel. “Christian” Pastors tell on TV, Radio and over the internet say it is being fulfilled when they get saved today.    These verses are talking about a nation that is gathered back into the land in a day and they dwell in safety there for-ever. They are not dwelling in safety there today.

   Quit picking and choosing which parts of this prophecy you want to attribute to today and which ones you want to attribute to the future.    They are all in the future! Read Jeremiah 31:31 and tell me if the house of Israel and the house of Judah are fulfilling that today.    And no, you are not Israel! Christians are members of the Body of Christ where there is neither Jew not Greek. You are not Israel Sir, or Madam!28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. 29 I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you. 30 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen. 31 Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.    If this was fulfilled in 1948 then why are so many other people dwelling in the same land? Almost twenty percent of Israel’s citizens are not Jewish and are inhabiting the land given to the descendants of Jacob, not Esau or Ishmael, but there they are to this day.   They are not remembering their evil ways in Israel today and loathing themselves in their own sight for their previous iniquities and their abominations because they are too busy committing new iniquities and abominations against the LORD.   There are more Sodomites in the land of Israel today then there was in 1948 so how does that fit into these verses because they prophecy the truth that things get better when these things all start happening not worse. 32 Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel. 33 Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded. 34 And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by. 35 And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited. 36 Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it.

   Guess what? This has not been fulfilled yet either! I have been to Israel almost sixty times and I didn’t find anything “like” the Garden of Eden over there, not even close! Pastors quit lying to your people.    Quit stretching the truth and turning it into a lie! Yes, the land was a mess when they got there in 1948 and yes, they have planted trees and crops and built large cities, but they look no better than the average farms in Europe or the United States.    Does Israel produce a lot of fruits and vegetables and sell them to their neighbors? Yes, they do, but there is still a curse on the land, and they still have droughts there often.    Anyone who passes through the land today and were to be honest would not say it looks anything like they have envisioned the garden of Eden to have looked, but these verses say “all” who passed by it will say just that. None of the few that are saying that today are being honest, but it does sell books.   These verses are yet for the future. Maybe these people don’t want to admit there is going to be Tribulation Period first before all these promises are fulfilled. Is God fulfilling them in 1948 only to have to re-fulfill his promises in the future? I think not!37 Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock. 38 As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the LORD.   So, to beat this dead horse one last time, if, what we see happening since 1948 in Israel is the fulfillment of Ezekiel’s prophesy then why are not the “Flock” that is there since 1948 a “holy flock”?   And the waste cities that that are filled today with flocks of men, why don’t they know that God is the LORD? They do not! Oh, Brother Phillips, it is only a partial fulfillment today. Yeah, sure it is. Keep pedaling your books.    Many well-known Bible teachers wrongly teach that Ezekiel envisioned a two-step fulfillment of chapters thirty-six and thirty-seven, with Israel’s current state that began in 1948 as the first step and God resurrecting them into the Kingdom as the final stage.        Try as they might there is only phase of the resurrection and it will occur at the end of the Tribulation Period and onset of the Millennial Kingdom, not in 1948.

   God’s word is very clear that his kingdom begins when he resurrects dead saints from the four corners of the world and puts them back in their land in the Kingdom.  

Chapter Thirty-sevenThese Dry Bones

1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, 2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.    This valley is probably the Valley of Megiddo, but we are not told that anywhere, it just seems like a good fit for the Valley because it is truly an open valley and it is a very famous valley for many large battles throughout the centuries, plus it is east of the Sea.   The bones that Ezekiel saw were the bones of the slain of the whole house of Israel and he called them an exceeding great army which we see in verses ten and eleven.    It is not just the righteous from Judah, but the whole house of Israel as well, no longer a divided Kingdom as we shall see in greater detail beginning in verse fifteen. 3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. 4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. 5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: 6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. 7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. 8 And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. 9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. 11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are

dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. 12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, 14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.    These verses are talking about the resurrection of the righteous dead in Israel, it is called the Hope of Israel by the Apostle Paul in Acts 28:20.    Righteous Israel will be resurrected into their Kingdom when the Messiah comes back and opens their graves after he has made their enemies his footstool. Ps 110:1    Then they shall finally receive all the promises that God had promised unto Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at that time.    All the land promised, but never realized, will finally be theirs, and they shall rule over the nations with a rod of Iron in the Kingdom.    The LORD will bring all the righteous dead of Israel from wherever they are scattered throughout the world and will place them in their own land and he will put his spirit in their bodies and they shall live.   These are not the believers in the Body of Christ that will be resurrected here, we will have already been resurrected at the Rapture of the Body of Christ. Our destiny is in heavenly places.    This is those Old Testament Saints, like Daniel and Ezekiel, and those in the Tribulation Period that get saved after the Body of Christ has been raptured out seven years earlier.  One Prophecy expert said that this was fulfilled in 1948 and the great army is Israel’s actual army they have now.     I used to think that only his group’s “healings” were only partial healings, but it turns out that his prophecies are never really full prophecies either, just partial ones. That way he can sell you his next book. His name is Perry Stone.Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting

contempt. 3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. Daniel 12:13 But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.    Daniel’s body went to rest in the earth while his spirit was conscious in Abraham’s Bosom. He is promised here by the Lord that he will stand in his lot (his inheritance) in the end of days (the Kingdom). 

A United Kingdom15 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, 16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: 17 And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. 18 And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these? 19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. 20 And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes. 21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: 22 And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all: 23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God. 24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. 25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

   When the Babylonian captivity ended Judah returned to their homeland in stages, but the Northern Kingdom did not return as a kingdom. Individuals and families returned but most of them were scattered into the nations.    The things mentioned above did not happen in 1948 when Israel became a nation again. No one was resurrected from the dead on that day. Many radio and tv preachers teach that 1948 was the first part of this resurrection. It was not.   That will end on this glorious day when he re-unites the two houses of Israel into one stick and David rules them again as King over Israel and Jesus reigns as King of kings over all the earth.    Hosea also mentions the rule of David again in Israel’s future Kingdom which means he has to be resurrected along with all the righteous in Israel to eternal life.

Hosea speaks of Israel’s Future KingdomHosea 3:3 And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee. 4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim. 5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.   The many days are defined as a thousand years in Revelation 20:2-7 and during that time Israel will not play the harlot but they will fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.Ezekiel 37:26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. 27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 28 And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.      Notice that God will confirm the covenant of peace with them forever but there is someone who comes in his own name that confirms a covenant of peace with Israel and then he breaks it after three and a half years. Daniel 9:27  He then commands Israel worship him and his image and he commands them to take his mark upon their foreheads or in their right hands because

he is the Anti-Christ. He imitates what God said here that he would do with Israel.  Revelation 13:16   Notice also that he said he would set his sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. The Anti-Christ does the same thing seven years earlier and deceives many in Israel and around the world into thinking that he is the Christ.Amos 9:11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: 12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this. 13 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt. 14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. 15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.    Notice it says here that he will bring again the captivity of his people, which happens when they are gathered on eagle’s wings and brought back from the places where they were taken captive when Gog descended upon them with his army.    When you read about the total destruction of Gog and Magog in Revelation that is at the end of the Millennial Kingdom when Satan his released from the pit and gathers people to come against Christ and his saints. Make sure you distinguish the difference. 

Chapter Thirty-eightGog and Magog Invasion

1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,    Just who is Gog? If you take out a map and try to find the land of Magog on it, you won’t find it on today’s maps. If you had one from 4,500 years ago that would be a different story. Magog was a person, and he eventually became a people.

   God uses the names of the people who inhabited the lands because he understood that the names of the lands would change over time but the names of the people who settled their would not change. Magog was a son of Japheth, Noah’s son. Genesis 10:2   Magog was the land that pertained to the descendants of Magog. Gog is the person in the future who is called here the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.   He is none other than the Devil himself indwelling the Antichrist. Lucifer was one of the chief princes among the angels and Michael was another one.Daniel 10:13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.   The Antichrist is called a prince numerous times and he is obviously the chief leader of this war against Israel during the time of the Great Tribulation Period.   That begins at the mid-point of the seventieth week of Daniel when he breaks his covenant with Israel. It is at the mid-point of the Tribulation Period that Satan enters the man of sin.Daniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.    Do a word search on the word prince, and you will find him mentioned as the prince of the power of the air, and at other times some of his cohorts are listed as the principalities and powers in high places. The is also the Princes of Persia, and Grecia. Etc.,Genesis 10:1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. 2The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. 3 And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. 4 And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. 5 By these were the

isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.    The isles of the Gentiles were divided in their lands by the sons of Japheth and it is these same Gentiles that pledge their loyalty to Gog, through the man of sin that he indwells, and come against Israel.

The End Time Battle3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:    God here tells Gog exactly what he is going to do to him and to his army in the latter days, and there was absolutely nothing he could do to stop it.   Notice the type of army we see here: Horses and horsemen, clothed with all sorts of armor, bucklers and shields, and all of them handling swords.    Could it be that there will be so much destruction in the Tribulation Period that the armies of the world are reduced to fighting on horseback once again, using swords and shields? With all that you read about the Tribulation Period that isn’t very hard to conceive.

Gog, the Chief PrinceMeshech and Tubal

Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya, Gomer, Togarmah5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: 6 Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. 7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.    It appears that Gog will be the major supplier of weaponry for this army as he is told to prepare, not just for himself, but for all his company. If Gog is the Antichrist as many believe, then that makes a lot of sense. Who is able to make war with him? Rev 13:48 After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. 9 Thou shalt ascend and

come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.     Isaiah 28:15calls this invasion the overspreading scourge but Israel does not believe it will come towards them because of the covenant they have with Gog, but things will come into Gog’s mind at that time (the same time that Satan is cast out of heaven in Revelation 12:7-10) to invade Israel and to take her away captive.     The same verses call the covenant, a covenant with Death, and it says that Israel would be in agreement with Hell. Luckily the remnant of believers in that day follow Christ’s words in Matthew 24:16 and flee into the mountains at the first sign of the abomination of Desolation being placed in the Holy Place.10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: 11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, 12 To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.    You must discern whether this is a battle that starts at the mid-point of the Tribulation Period and goes on for three and a half years or is it a battle at the end of the Millennial Kingdom.  Everything fits perfectly in the verses above during the second half of Daniel’s Seventieth Week or the Tribulation Period as it is more commonly called today.    Many people mistakenly apply the battle to end of the Millennial Kingdom when Satan is loosed from the pit for a season because of the mention of Gog and Magog there as well, but that is the second and final battle of Gog and Magog that launches from Magog. That won’t be much of a battle anyway.    The armies of Gog and Magog assemble around Jerusalem at the end of the Millennial Kingdom, but they are destroyed in a moments time by Jesus Christ as he rains down fire from above. Rev 20Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and

compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.    That is not a battle, that is a rout. In Ezekiel thirty-eight many die in the invasion of Gog, and Magog, and many are taken away captive before they will be brought back three and a half years later by Christ to go into their kingdom.Ezekiel 38:13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?    Sheba and Dedan are consider by most people to be the people in the land currently known as Saudi Arabia and they are Sunni Muslims predominately, but most of the other nations mentioned that attack Israel are Shia Muslims.    The difference is that there are two sects of Islam, Sunni and Shia. Sheba and Dedan have the merchants of Tarshish and all the young lions (the west) confederate together and they are opponents of the Caliphate of Gog and the countries aligned with him.    They oppose Gog’s invasion but don’t really try to stop it militarily, because they hate Israel as well, and they hope Israel may help to weaken their other enemy, the Shiites. The enemy of their enemy is their friend.14 Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it? 15 And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: 16 And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.   Again, we see the armies of Gog riding on horseback, and most commentators say they won’t be real horses, and they won’t be really riding on horseback, and the swords aren’t really swords, and on and on they go criticizing the word of God and elevating what they say. It means exactly what it says!    Gog will come out of Syria and he will be headquartered in modern day Turkey, and Revelations alludes to that. Interestingly enough, Turkey, and Greece, are now filled with Syrian refugees.

Revelation 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.   Obviously, Satan will be dwelling with the Antichrist who is said to come from his place out of the north parts. North of what? Israel. What is north of Israel? Lebanon, Syria, and Turkey.    Guess where Satan’s dwells in the last days, and where his seat is? In Turkey which was called Asia (Asia Minor) all part of the Seleucid Kingdom that formed after Alexander the Great’s Kingdom was divided into four parts. * See chart on Daniel 8   Turkey is the land of Meshech and Tubal, and Togamarah. Revelation 2:13 is addressed to the end times church in the city of Pergamos, Turkey.    How would you like to be an end-time believer living in the city of Pergamos where Satan’s Seat is, and where he is dwelling during the Time of Jacob’s Trouble? Not me. I am out of here at the Rapture.17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?    Notice that God brings Gog against Israel. The Lord God is still speaking to Gog (the Antichrist) here, and the proof is that all the prophets have spoken about the Antichrist coming against Israel, but he was never called that until Jesus’ day.    Prior to Christ’s day he was called a lot of things by the prophets. Daniel, Isaiah, and Jeremiah all prophesied Satan’s coming against Israel in the latter days and a man doing his biding.

The Great Earthquake18 And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face. 19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; 20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.    That is some earthquake! Worse than anyone ever to be recorded, or ever shall be. This earthquake will level the earth's mountains and buildings.

   It is very interesting that this earthquake hits at the exact moment that Gog comes against Israel. This earthquake is recorded in many other places in the Bible, most popularly it is found in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ:Revelation 16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. 18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. 19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. 20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.     So mighty an earthquake, that it was not in just one location, but world-wide. Jerusalem is divided into three parts and many die in the city.    The Islands fled away, could mean that the Tsunami’s that are a natural result after a great earthquake will kill millions and wash them out to Sea. See Revelation 8:7 also.Ezekiel 38:21 And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother. 22 And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. 23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.    There is no coincidence here. Armageddon is a place in Israel (Tel Megiddo), where Gog (the Antichrist) comes to destroy Israel but God intervenes with a great earthquake by raining upon them great hailstones, mingled with fire and brimstone destroying untold amounts of people. 

Chapter Thirty-nineGog is the Devil Incarnate in the Antichrist

1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief

prince of Meshech and Tubal: 2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: 3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.    Gog, the Anti-Christ will be turned back at this battle and will lose many in his army. Five/sixths to be exact. People who rush to judgment tend to say that Gog's forces will be totally destroyed.   They blend this first battle with the second battle of Gog and Magog found in Revelation 19 and make them one battle. The second battle happens soon after he is Satan is released from the pit after 1000 years are finished.    They are different battles. This one is an actual battle and they suffer heavy casualties but the one at the end is not really a battle because God just destroys every single one at that time.   Remember the rider of the horse has a bow given unto him, well here we see that bow knocked out of his hand, but he comes back even stronger. In this prophecy Gog has something to shoot from his bow. In the Revelation account no arrows are mentioned.4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. 5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.     The ravenous birds shall be called to the great supper of our God just as Revelation 19 says, but we will look at that in a few verses when Ezekiel tells us more about it later in this chapter.

The Fire upon Magog6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD. 7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. 8 Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken. 9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years: 10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons

with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.     The wood from their weapons will be for fuel and the metal  from their swords will be beat into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks as there will be much cultivation going on after God pours out the latter rain as prophesied in scripture.Isaiah 2:4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.11 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog. 12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. 13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD. 14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search. 15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog. 16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.    This is the first seven months into the Millennial Kingdom. This will not be necessary in the final battle of Gog and Magog at the end of the Kingdom when Satan is loosed for a season because while they also will be attacked by fire from above this time it will be total and instant annihilation of all of God's enemies.    The first battle of Gog and Magog starts in the Tribulation Period and the final one is at the end of the Millennial. The first is the dress rehearsal for the second.

The Feast of Flesh

17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood. 18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. 19 And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you. 20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.    This feast is also mentioned at the end of the Millennial Kingdom in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, and millions upon millions who do not understand how to rightly divide the word of truth think that they are going to a great marriage supper of the Lamb as his Bride.   The think they will enjoy a great feast prepared by God. Maybe if they are cannibals because this feast serving human flesh. The flesh of God's enemies that aligned themselves with the Anti-Christ.Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. 17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. 19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that

worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.  Ezekiel 39:21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them. 22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward. 23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword. 24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.    The reason for Israel’s calamities have never been because of her enemies around her, they have all been self-made. Israel was unbeatable when she was in obedience to the covenant she made with the LORD at Mt. Sinai.  When Israel would sin to such a place of wickedness then the LORD would hide his face from them and not hear their prayers because of their sin.25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name; 26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid. 27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; 28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. 29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.    The Lord God will allow Gog’s armies to take many in Israel away captive during the second half of Daniel’s Seventieth week, but he is going to bring them back and those believers that died when Gog invaded will be brought back to life when Jesus returns to set up his everlasting Kingdom.

   The Lord God will not hide his face from Israel anymore because he will tabernacle with man for a thousand years ruling over them from Jerusalem.    He will at the onset of the Kingdom after he has risen believing Israel from their graves all over the world bring them into the land and pour out his spirit upon the house of Israel in a much grander way than he did at Pentecost. He will truly be Immanuel: God with us.
