Homecoming 2016 November 13, 2016 This year's Homecoming will celebrate the 120 years of ministry Tibitha has had in this community. Special events include guest preacher, Rev. Bobby Dunn, a former pastor here at Tibitha, and special musicians, The Master's Hand Quartet, from Smithfield, Virginia. An afternoon concert will take place at 1:30. Of course, no Homecoming would be complete without having "dinner on the grounds!" Make plans to be a part of this special day in the life of the church. Letter from the Pastor Greetings to my Brothers and Sisters in Christ at Tibitha Church of God. It is with joy that I ponder the few months I have had to fellowship with the Saints in the Northern Neck. I've had the opportunity to learn a little of the history behind the fishing industry and historical buildings, as well as a little of the history of Tibitha itself (on your website!). It gives me pause to consider that the history of Tibitha overlaps the history of the United States of America by about half-- 120 years! While our American forefathers fought to secure freedom from the English, Tibitha has fought a spiritual battle by proclaiming the Gospel of Peace, and by winning and discipline souls for the Kingdom of God. That battle is not over until our King returns, so hold fast to your first love, and continue to serve until He comes. This year was a milestone for my wife, Racheal, and myself. We saw the last of our four children, Linda (#3), get married and leave home to start life with her husband in South Carolina. We learned, from Teresa (#4) we are going to be grandparents in January. Our oldest child, Emily (#1), completed her studies at Georgetown University in DC to become a Nurse Practitioner. And finally, my son, Brian David (#2), a businessman in St. Petersburg, Florida, weathered his first tropical storm that came through the area. God was merciful, and no property damage was sustained. Racheal and I were married in 1982, and long before then we had served in our separate churches. After we were married, we continued to serve the Lord wherever we were needed. And now we are so thankful that the Lord has seen fit to privilege us to serve at Tibitha for a season. Check the church website: www.tibitha.net sfl

Letter from the Pastor

Greetings to my Brothers and Sisters in Christ at Tibitha Church of God. It is with joy that I ponder the few months I have had to fellowship with the Saints in the Northern Neck. I've had the opportunity to learn a little of the history behind the fishing industry and historical buildings, as well as a little of the history of Tibitha itself (on your website!). It gives me pause to consider that the history of Tibitha overlaps the history of the United States of America by about half--120 years!

May we all recognize that serving the LORD God, in whatever capacity he uses us, is a great

privilege and honor. There is Joy in Serving Jesus!
