OUR BLESSINGS

People have worshipped in All Saints, the Parish Church of Kesgrave for at least 900

years and the building is still a living centre of Christian worship amongst the

community. God has blessed us with the resources of people and money to: -

offer traditional, reflective & lively worship in many varied styles.

through our faith and fellowship

in small groups, lunches, Saints & Signers, Morning Prayer & coffee mornings, film evenings

and much more……..

through ‘community evangelism’

as a beacon to Kesgrave through the visiting of local retirement homes, After School Churches,

“the Farmhouse’ services, Youth work in the Church and in the local schools, our parenting

groups and much more……..

“All things come from you and of your own do we give you” 1 Chronicles 29

OUR SITUATIONOur mission is to serve our Church family and the wider community of Kesgrave, to enable everyone to hear the gospel through word and deed.

Meanwhile, just to maintain our existing ministry, each month we need to spend a total of £6000:

£4300 Parish Share, our right to a vicar, church building, vicar’s housing, training and our contribution to the wider work of the Church of England.

£764 Administration- insurances, administrators, stationary

£210 Utility costs – gas, water, electric

£726 Other- music, cleaning, repairs, etc.

This year each month, before any increase in giving, we currently expect to receive a total of £4750:

£4600 from voluntary donations

£150 Service fees for special services such as weddings and funerals

Youth work is funded from a separate charity.

Resourcing Our Future

OUR CHALLENGETo continue this work we all need to think carefully about all we receive from God,

consider our priorities and then prayerfully review our giving.

Our church needs £6000 per month in 2013 for its ministry of worship, witness, service and

mission. However we only receive a monthly income of £4750, leaving a shortfall of £1250 per

month. This has been funded from savings which will run out in 2013 after cutting costs to a minimum and relying heavily on voluntary work.

In order to meet this shortfall and for the ministry to be adequately funded we need the grace of

giving.

“But just as you excel in everything ... see that you also excel in this grace of

giving” 2 Corinthians 8:7

An overall increase in giving of 25% sounds a lot of money but between all our congregations this

is quite achievable.

We do not want to tell you how much to give.

This is between you and God.

Every gift made in love is appreciated and is special.

HOW TO GIVEThere are a range of mechanisms that enable

you to give to All Saints.

In general if you have a bank account we prefer direct forms of giving such as Standing Order or

Give as You Earn. This significantly reduces administration and enables the Church to

budget.

Alternatively the Stewardship Envelopes allow you to make weekly payments in the Church collection, which may suit if you don’t have a bank account or if you give a different amount

each week. If you are a taxpayer, don’t forget to complete a Gift Aid form so that we can claim back 20% of the tax that you have already paid, making your

contribution worth 25% more.

If your employer supports Give as You Earn (for example BT), this can provide up to 100% more.

Pick up the “information on Giving” leaflet to work out what’s best for you.

“Here is the spiritual principle: wherever you put your money shows

where your heart is also.”

Matthew 6:21

MY RESPONSELove is generous, love is kind and love is

selfless – we see that in all God gives to us – how will we respond?

We would like every member of our congregation to seriously and prayerfully consider our pressing financial challenge and to make a response.

The response can be made on this form. You will see that the form is anonymous. The wording is up to you, for example it could be an amount per week or month or a % increase, or portion of whatever you receive net. It is not binding as we know circumstances can change- by completing this form you are making a sign of your commitment to giving.

Throughout Lent we will collect these forms in a box. On 31st March, Easter Sunday, they will be committed with thanks to God as a part of the 10:00am Easter Sunday service.

We thank you most deeply for all of your giving in the past and for that which is promised here.

I pledge to support the ministry of All Saints Kesgrave with donations of:
