Rosie James produces screen-printed and stitched images of crowds in locations such as the London underground, museums, parks and at special events. ‘Thread Bearing Witness’, an exhibition by Alice Kettle, highlighted the suffering of crowds of refugees and asylum seekers. Animals

The figures in the installation piece ‘We are all animals’ by Permindar Kaurare a mixture of animal features and human forms. ‘Stitchmonger’, a knitted and crocheted collection by Kate Jenkins is based on sea life. Kathryn Harmer Fox references the plight of wildlife in her ‘Africa Skinned’ series, and animals and birds appear in the work of printmaker Mark Hearld. Fashion designers, such as Stella McCartney, have produced clothing and accessories inspired by animals.
