Bayonne’s Bergen Point to Hold Fall Festivalon October 19

The Bayonne Urban Enterprise Zone/Special Improvement Dis-trict (UEZ/SID) announced that the 2019 Bergen Point Fall Fes-tival is scheduled for Saturday, October 19, in Bayonne. Thefestival will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the City of Bay-onne. The event will include music and other entertainment, food,inflatable rides, balloon sculpture, sand art, face painting, a dogcostume contest, and other features that will be announced. This annual festival of family fun is hosted by the Bayonne UEZ

and the City of Bayonne. The event takes place in Bergen Point,the southern portion of Bayonne, which is just across the BayonneBridge from Staten Island. Bayonne Mayor Jimmy Davis said,“The City of Bayonne and the Bergen Point Fall Festival inviteour friends and neighbors in New York and New Jersey to visitBayonne and enjoy the festival with us in October. The festivalwill offer a day of fun for the entire family.”Held in conjunction with Bergen Point merchants, the free family

fun event will take place from 5th Street to Cottage Street onBroadway from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on October 19.Registration for the dog costume contest starts at 11:30 a.m. The

contest itself will take place at 12:00 noon. Bring your dogs intheir favorite costumes. A free dog blanket will be provided to

all who enter. Prizes will be awarded to the first,second, and third place winners.The festival will feature unique shopping op-

portunities offered by Bergen Point’s specialtyvendors and merchants. Additional details about the festival will be an-
