Problem: A participant’s login ID is an email address that they no longer have access to and they cannot remember their password

Tip: If you change the email on their profile, ALL actions you try to do (re-set password etc) will still go to the login ID (old) email address. You cannot just change the email on their profile, the participant needs to change their login ID themselves. You do this in the Participant Logins page.

Competition Management/Participation >> People >> Participant Logins

This will bring you to the Participant Login Management screen.

Here you can search for the participant by name, email address or participant ID. Any results that match your search parameters will appear in the results list.

Click on the expand icon to the left of the record.

This will expand the participants record so you can see any linked accounts and perform a number of actions.

Here you want to clink Change Password

This will prompt the system to generate a new 6-didgit password.

The participant can then use this password, along with the old email address (which is the login ID) to log into their account and change their email/log in ID and password.

Netball Victoria recommend that you DO NOT give the participant, requesting the new password, the log-in ID.

For security reasons, NV recommend you tell them that the log-in ID is their old email address and they should know what it is. You can confirm the ID if they know it but do not offer it to them.
