POLO ANYONE? The Recreation Department with the assistance of Jean Russ, will be hosting an outing to Vero Beach Polo Club on Sunday, April 05th. WOODSHOP Due to numerous complaints of damaged equipment, large messes and poor safety practices, I am seeking a knowledgeable person proficient in woodworking tools/safety/courtesy to help develop a brief woodworking proficiency test to administer to new persons that wish to use the Woodshop. H.O.A. Sponsored Informational Meeting for all Homeowners. Let’s fill the Auditorium! Our upcoming Federation of Manufactured Homeowners of Florida, District 4 meeting in our auditorium will be on Tuesday March 10 at 9:30 am.FMO Area President Russ Watson will conduct the meeting which should last a couple of hours. He and his team will tell us a bit about the FMO, they will tell us what new legislation is in the works and open up the meeting to discussion. This is a great opportunity to learn about issues which may impact our futures. The FMO is our only advocate to combat lobbying efforts to make changes in existing legislation.Please plan to attend. We would appreciate knowing how many are coming. To that end we will ask for a show of hands at our next HOA meeting to get a count of who is planning to attend.However, even if you aren't able to let us know you are coming, you are welcome and should just show up, in the auditorium, at 9:30 am for coffee and donuts. LINE DANCING RETURNS!

Ms. Deb Bender will be instructing us in Line Dancing in the Auditorium on Tuesdays or Thursdays at 7:00 pm. HOA AED CLASSES The HOA is sponsoring training classes on the AED (Automatic Electronic Defibrillator) in the Pow Wow room on Wednesday, March 4th and Wednesday, April 1st. Classes on both dates will be held at 1pm, 2pm and 3 pm. Attendance is limited to 10 persons per class. Roger Hagedorn will be the AED Trainer. There are sign-up sheets in the Clubhouse vestibule (between restrooms and concessions) in the designated area for clubs/organization material. Look for a folder marked “AED Training”. Please ask the Rec Desk if you need help.

AARP FREE TAX HELP AARP offers free Tax Preparation/Help on Tuesdays from 12 -3 pm, Wednesdays from 9 – 12 and Saturdays from 9-12 until April 8th at the Lakewood Park Public Library. No Cost!

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH

Cammie the "fire dog" will be here again on March 4th to help with our Neighborhood Watch and the St. Lucie County Fire District will be presenting: “Remembering When: A fire and fall prevention program for older adults”. Developed by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). The program is designed to prevent injuries among older adults and help them live safely at home for as long as possible.Plan to attend this informative session on March 4 at 2:00 p.m. in the Auditorium. NEW ENGLAND CLUB UNSUNG HERO The New England Club Unsung Hero’s Meeting and Dinner will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 4:30-7:00 pm. VETERAN’S CLUB

The next Veterans Club meeting will be March 11th at 7:00 pm. All Veterans are encouraged to join us. Our Annual Veterans Club Chicken Dinner will be Sunday, March 29th at 5:00 pm. Tickets will go on sale March 2nd and 3rd and 9th& 10th at 8:30 am in the cardroom. Dinner includes 3-pieces of chicken, cole slaw, mashed potatoes with dessert and coffee. Still only $10.00.

Dept. is sponsoring these upcoming trips: Mount Dora Spring Festival $48 (w/lunch - $65.00) Ticket Cut Off: March 15th Saturday, March 21 ,2020 Depart Clubhouse at 8:00 am / Return 6:30 pm CELEBRATE SPRING! JOIN US FOR A LADIES LUNCHEON BUS TRIP! Join us on the historic streets of Mount Dora to celebrate the town’s 23rd annual Spring Festival. It’s a fun, open-air event, held rain or shine, that showcases hand crafted products from more than 250 artisans from all over the country. This year’s event features wine tasting, musicians, and great festival food. Far less crowded than the October craft festival, this is a great opportunity to explore the quaint shops and enjoy lunch with friends! We will meet for coffee and donuts and 8:00 am. Bus Departs at 8:45 am. and returns between 6-7:00 pm. We arrive at Mount Dora at approximately 11:00 am. Optional Lunch at “The Windsor Rose Tea Room” at noon or lunch on your own. After lunch, it’s shop and explore till 4:00 pm. What better way to celebrate Spring then with Lunching and Shopping with Friends at the annual Mount Dora Spring Festival?
