THREE CROSSES Rejection-Redemption-Reception

Turn back the pages of time, if you will to three crosses that stood on Calvary’s Hill;

Three crosses that tell the story of man - The sinner’s, the Savior, and the Father’s plan.

The season should bring us renewed reflection, First the cross signifying the world’s rejection - The thief who scorned and would not believe

the One who would have him, he would not receive.

The cross of redemption, the Savior’s cross, the sinner’s salvation, the sin-bearer’s loss. Legions of angels to save Him were nigh,

but unyielding love made Him willing to die.

On the cross of redemption, the other thief died, and in anguish and pain to the Savior he cried.

His belief assured him of glory untold; his faith then ushered him into God’s fold.

“IT IS FINISHED!” all heard the triumphant cry; The crosses blocked out by a blackened sky. Crucifixion beholders felt the trembling sod, One cried,” This was truly the Son of God!”

On the golden morn of Resurrection Day,

His followers found the tomb’s stone rolled away. The believer’s victory, the unbeliever’s losses -

All told in the story of the three crosses.
