The international exhibition Europort is a major event for all the actors involved in the maritime sector. France will be strongly represented with more than 20 companies. Coordinated by GICAN, the French Pavilion is bigger than ever. We are particularly proud to present these competitive companies on the cutting edge of innovation.

The French naval and maritime industry is renowned for its world-class technologies and resources. It employs around 40.000 people. The commercial and naval sectors combined rank sixth in the world and second in Europe.

GICAN, the French Marine Industry Group, represents the country’s entire naval and maritime industry, from naval defence and maritime safety & security to marine environmental protection and commercial shipbuilding. GICAN brings together and promotes the industry’s expertise in France and abroad.

Thank you for taking time to visit the French Pavilion in Hall 5 and discover interesting opportunities to develop closer business relationships with the French exhibitors.

Good show to all of you.

AUTOMATIC SEA VISION® (ASV) creates innovative software solutions dedicated to maritime security and safety for any type and size of ships as well as for harbour protection, critical infrastructures and sea borders. Expanding the human capacities of watching at sea to face current threats while onboard a ship (terrorism, piracy, traffi cking, illegal migration, …) or ashore (intrusion, malicious acts, …) and to reinforce maritime security by preventing accidents at sea or effi ciently focusing on search and rescue are considered by Automatic Sea Vision through the development of software dedicated to these constraints:

• ASV-DET software, based on an innovative and patented video analytics and image processing using infrared images in moving environment, guarantees a full automatic watch, detection and alert on the observed maritime perimeter.

• ASV-SERVO software optimises the existing means of surveillance (Radar and infrared imagery) to provide an additional and original identifi cation capacity. For all detected tracks by radar (band S or band X) or from the ASV-DET software, ASV-SERVO automates the orientation of Pan Tilt Zoom cameras on tracks of interest, allowing a quick identifi cation by the operator.

ASV software reinforces the capacity of detection and identifi cation related to thermal infrared cameras and signifi cantly enhances watch performances of the surveillance or bridge teams.

• ASV provides a permanent help to maritime surveillance using thermal infrared cameras and a sophisticated automation that perform a 24/7 work. The system will perfectly fi t in complex situation with dense maritime traffi c and short alert notices.

• ASV brings a visual dimension essential in maritime surveillance. The ASV software do not compete with existing systems (Radar, AIS, VTS...) but complete them. They bring additional capacities in detection and immediate identifi cation.

• ASV enhances the alert notice on all kind of nautical danger, based on a specifi c algorithm and computation performances that now allows the detection of objects of very small size (starting from 2 pixels) and sometimes not seen by human eye.

• ASV software suite can be installed and upgraded easily. They are working on COTS hardware, either as a stand-alone system or as software modules that can be integrated into a more complete surveillance system.

• ASV software suite works with most of the infrared cameras and navigation radars (producing a normalized information) available of the market. Many of these equipments have already been integrated and are operational at sea.

The GLEHEN Pierre & Fils Shipyard has been building all types of ship since 1911.

Their expertise demonstrates their willingness to keep up to date with construction techniques as well as all sea related matters. The work carried out at the shipyard, whether partial or total in respect of “tiller-hand” boats, is always subject to the control of a classifi cation body. The design is carried out in collaboration with the research and design department, and takes into account stability, energy savings, choice of engine, soundproofi ng and the specifi c requirement of the ship.

Particular attention will be paid to fi tting-out the ship, with special emphasis on effi ciency and comfort while at sea: the command and operation work area; personalized fi nishing touches and state-of-art electronic equipment.
