China exports more clothes that anyother territory in the world. East Asia,the region in which China is located,exports over five times as many clothes(US$ net) as any other region.

Of all earnings from internationaltrade, 7% is earned from clothingexports. This category includes clothas well as clothes, footwear and bags.It is possible that cloth is importedfrom one territory, sewn into agarment in a second territory, andthen exported for sale in a thirdterritory. Throughout this process thematerials will usually gain value.
