Using MPEG Streamclip to Select Video Clip

Inserting Video into MPEG Streamclip: Open MPEG Streamclip

> Click File > Open Files

> Select video > Click Open

Selecting Video Clip: Drag the playhead to where the clip will start > Edit > Select In

> Drag the playhead to where the clip will end > Edit > Select Out

Compressing Video Using MPEG Streamclip

> Click File > Export MPEG-4

> Choose the following settings:

Quality: If the clip is less than 7 minutes in length leave the same. If clip is more than 7 minutes in length change to 40 percent.

Sound: MPEG-4 AAC, Mono, Auto, 256 kbps

Frame size: Select 720 x 480 (DV-NTSC)

Keep all other settings the same > Click Make MP4

> Name video clip > Click Save

> Video clip will start to compress. This will take some time depending on the initial size of the clip. After compression the clip will appear in the folder where it was saved.
