Custom Tailored Seat Covers

Welcome to our Custom Tailored Seat cover line. These seat covers provide you an alternative for those hard to find vehicles. They are a reasonably priced seat cover to upgrade and replace your present interior. Although they are not sewn to the " Original Stock Style " , they do provide you with a Tailor Made seat cover to fit your vehicle seats. Of course you will need to choose from one of the Primary Design layouts (See Diagram Page) that are offered and review the additional options that can be added to each of the primary designs. We offer Standard Stock materials which include - Dielectric Heat Sealed Single Pleated Vinyl, 2” Machine Stitch Pleated Cloth, or an ALL smooth vinyl or cloth materials. Each material has its own assortment of colors. For certain interiors the design layout may be similar to your vehicle seats with a few exceptions.

General Information

These are made for a permanent installation. Depending on the condition of the original seat frame padding after you have removed the old original seat covers you may have to either rebuild your existing springs or add some additional foam padding.

These seat covers may not come with all the original type of tie downs (listings), pockets for wires or the special

plastic clips that may be found on vehicles. Of course, we do add extra vinyl around the perimeter edges to allow

you to Hog Ring the seat cover to the springs underneath the actual seats. .

Installation Kits (Basic Instructions/ Hog Ring Pliers/ Hog Rings) are included to complete your project.

How to price a seat cover –

Determine the PRIMARY DESIGN LAYOUT you wish to go with - Basic prices are listed by the design and the selection of materials you are going to use for the new covers. Then review the options that you may like to add to your tailored seat cover. Last by least you will choose the colors being used for the MAIN Pleated Areas and the TRIM areas.

Main Material - Heat Pressed Pleated Vinyl or 2” Machine Pleated Cloth Materials or can be done with ALL

SMOOTH Vinyl or Cloth with no Pleats.

Trim Area – Smooth vinyl or cloth sections of the seats such as the side bands, backs of the seats and any Cap

Panels that you may add from one of our design option choices. Trim Areas can be done in a contrasting color at

no extra charge.

Are you adding any extras – such as Horizontal Pleating, Headrest & Armrest covers that are actually part of the

seat configuration? See the Accessories & Extra Charge Prices.

All materials used for constructing your new seat covers are available for purchase in yard goods. You may have

other areas of your project that will require additional materials.

Door Panel Upholstery - We also offer 2 styles for replacing your door panel upholstery so that they will match your new

seat covers and provide you with a finished restoration. See attached page for the Styles, Prices and Sizes.

The original seat covers are in useable condition for new patterns.

You are willing to remove the old seat cover and send to us to reproduce.

Not all patterns are accepted for reproduction.

SEAT REBUILD KITS

Seat Rebuild Instructions Tools needed: Hog Ring Pliers, Razor Blade, 3M Trim Adhesive,

Flathead Screwdriver, Wire Cutters, Marker.

1" or 2" High Density Foam Kits Step (1) Remove your seat(s) from the vehicle.

Step (2) Remove all side trim, skirts and risers. Remove and note all screws for reassembly.

Step (3) Locate the bolts and/or hinges on the outside of the seat backrest and remove. Some seats use a clip style lock that can be removed with Flathead screwdriver. Once outer clip or bolt(s) is removed, the backrest can be separated from the cushion

Step (4) Once seats are removed place on bench, now the old covers can be removed. Depending on the year of the car, the covers will be stapled on or installed with hog rings. Remove staples with flathead screwdriver. To remove hog rings, use the wire cutter, pinch with a twisting motion.

Step (5) (Illustration 1) Strip frame of all padding and burlap so all springs are exposed. Check over springs and frames for broken welds or springs. Replace and weld if needed. (Note: tempered springs cannot be welded)

Step (6) Sandblast and paint frame at this time if wanted.

Step (7) (Illustration 2) Cut burlap 4” larger than the frame and use hog rings to attach about every 6” - 8" around the edge. Using the burlap acts as a foundation, preventing the new foam/cotton padding from pushing through.

Step (8) (Illustration 3) Cut the high density Foam Sheets 4-6” larger than the frame. Spray glue the seat/burlap area and foam and press it on so it overhangs the edges. This prevents the foam from moving during and after installation. Try to shape a nice rolled edge and corners.

Step (9) (Illustration 4) Roll out the Dacron Padding to overlap complete seat. Use trim adhesive on all the edges around seat and secure from the center out - front and rear, rolling and smoothing out.

Step (10) In order to insure that the seat cover is installed evenly on the frame, mark the center point of the seat frame once finished with marker. When installing cover match with cover center point
