Communication within INSPIRE
Challenges:• INSPIRE implementation is a highly
complex and heterogenous process• Communication happens at all levels
all the time• Communication is subjectiv
Abstraction and classification of communication processes
4
Communication within INSPIRE
Scope #1• MIG Perspective
1. Where is communication relevant for INSPIRE implementation?
2. Where communication needs further support to be effective in this regard?
3. Where the MIG (T/P) can actually offer support?
5
Communication within INSPIRE
Scope #2• Issue
1. Is kind of common and not individual• Common pattern in several countries?
2. Which is of relevance/significance• Presents risk for implementation?
3. How to solve?• Can MIG T/P provide any common
support for this issue?

Awareness - Media
Media has the function of the information multiplier and to reach out to stakeholder groups which are more challenging to reach (e.g. top level management, economy, academia). For that awareness of the media is needed in order to distribute highly aggregated news and information about INSPIRE to stakeholder communities beyond the sphere of the typical public sector institution.
to transfer knowledge about the availability of spatial data;to transfer knowledge on benefits; to trigger media to report about SDI and to distribute news on SDI;

How to proceed? #2
• With a range of issues from your side we can look for pattern, analyse and come back to the MIG with the results for further decision
• How to collect your feedback best?• Online – Survey? To whom?• Feedback directly in Goggle-Doc?
