I've never made a tree-house before. I went with my dad to buy the things that we were going to need. We've got lots of wood and lots of bags of nails. I think Dad's bought too much paint, but that's OK - we can use it for something else. We already had a hammer and two saws - a big one and a little one - but we had to get some rope. The only thing we haven't bought are the windows. It'll be cold without glass!

I arrived at the theatre early, and I looked at the stage before the play started. It was really interesting. There were two sets of stage lights, and three wonderful costumes for the adors to wear. There was a big box of stage make-up on the stage - all the colours were amazing! I also saw two brooms - I think they need to clean the stage before the play starts. And there were three scripts lying on the floor - I think the actors were learning their lines just before I came in! 2 lK2K3v4KSv6V7K8K

Our class is taking part in a school project called 'Our Environment'. We have designed questionnaires to give to people in the street. We're going to talk to over a hundred members of the public, mainly about their views on litter and pollution. We hope that when we talk to people they will also give us their ideas on how to clean up the planet. Obviously, we can start by keeping areas like the town centre and the parks clean. But what about after that? What suggestions have people got for reducing pollution and looking after wildlife? 2 Patty: a, b, c George: g

My sister Patty is very keen on recycling. She helps my mum recycle all the leftover food, and even takes her old clothes to the recycling centre. I think it's just so she can buy more clothes! One strange thing is she doesn't recycle cans or tins, though I suppose she doesn't use that many cans. She's careful not to throwaway plastic, though. She always recycles it. My brother George doesn't see the point in recycling things like cardboard or glass. He does read lots of magazines, so Mum makes him take them all to the recycling centre. 3 1b2d3a4c 4 1d2a3c4f5e6b S Possible answers 1 They take empty bottles to a bottle bank. 2 They throwaway litter. 3 They clean up playgrounds. 4 They travel by bus. 5 Children ride or walk to school. 6 They put solar panels on houses. / They build eco houses. 6 Possible answers In picture A there are three birds, but in picture B there are two birds.

I had a dream last night that I was in space. It started when a boy of about my own age woke me up and asked me to go with him. I noticed that the time was exactly midnight. It didn't seem strange in my dream that I

should follow someone that I didn't know. I very calmly followed him downstairs. I don't remember walking through the door, but the next thing I was aware of I was at the door of a space ship. Everything happened very quickly, and soon I was surrounded by lots of people. They looked ordinary and wore T-shirts and jeans. The boy took me to a room with a small machine in it. It was a bit like a car and a bit like a plane. We got on and flew into space! We landed on a strange planet with lots of unusual rocks. The boy broke a piece of one of the rocks and gave it to me to eat! It was like chocolate and pizza together! Then we flew back to the space ship. When I said I wanted to go home, someone opened the door. I realized that I was looking down at Earth from a long way away. I started to fall, and that's when I woke up properly. It was 9 o'clock and the sun was shining. Everything was normal. 2 1 me 2 Dad 3 Paul Green 4 Jennifer Kelly S make-up artist 6 director
