Minimum System Requirements for User Laptops

7 Operating System Supported: Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8 and 10

7 Intel Pentium i3, i5, i7, or equivalent (AMD) processor with 2.0 GHz or higher

7 4 GB of System Memory

7 Wireless card 802.11b

7 2 GB of free hard disk space

7 Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5

7 Microsoft SQL Express 2012

Note: 7 Systems referred to as ‘netbooks’ and ‘minis’ do not meet the minimum system requirements to run the OHSMS software

2 Log into the OHSMS Website

7 Access the OHSMS website at https://web.ohs-monitoring.com.

7 Enter your user ID and password in the appropriate boxes and click the Login button.

3 Install the Standalone Software

3.1 Download Installer.exeFollow the instructions for the browser you are using: Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, or Firefox.

3.1.1 Google ChromeIn Google Chrome, your screen should look like the screenshot shown in this section.

1 In the SOFTWARE INSTALLATION section on the Home page, click the “Install the Standalone Software” link. The program will automatically begin to download and the download status bar will show you when the download is complete.

2 Click on Installer.exe in the download status bar.

3 Click the Run button in the Open file dialog box.

3.1.2 Internet ExplorerIn Internet Explorer, your screen should look like the screenshots shown in this section.

1 In the SOFTWARE INSTALLATION section on the Home page, click the “Install the Standalone Software” link.

2 You will be asked if you want to run or save the file. Click the Save button.

3 In the window that appears, click the Actions button.

4 In the SmartScreen Filter window, click Run anyway.

3.1.3 FirefoxIn Firefox, your screen should look like the screenshots shown in this section.

1 In the SOFTWARE INSTALLATION section on Home page, click the “Install the Standalone Software” link.

2 In the window that appears, click the Save File button.

3 Click the download progress button (small down arrow icon) located on the right side of the browser toolbar.

4 Click on Installer.exe

5 In the Open File dialog box, click the Run button.

3.2 Installation Progress 7 Once you have downloaded Installer.exe following the instructions in the previous section, the Surveyor Installer popup window will appear. This window shows the installation progress.

7 The Installer will load a series of informational windows on-screen throughout the installation process. These windows do not require any action from you.

4 Log into the OHSMS Standalone

7 After the installation is complete, the Standalone application will automatically open and direct you to the login page.

7 Enter your user ID and password in the appropriate boxes and click OK. Your credentials for the Standalone application are the same as your credentials for the OHSMS website.

5 Synchronize Your Reviews

Synchronize the Standalone application using the keyboard shortcut ALT+S or SHIFT+ALT+S.
