JOANNEUM RESEARCH gears its activities to the following guidelines:

Issues of RTO Management

Objectives are to a substantial amount depending on circumstances which cannot be influenced by JR

Trends towards demanding higher impacts are given – but impacts often cannot be measured (and influenced)

Multiple goals and principles, partly pointing in opposite directions

Contexts for the institutes and their represented fields of research and activities are highly heterogeneous – standardized sets of indicators are difficult to interpret
