When to enter the conference The conference will start at 10.20 and – unless there are technical problems – will adhere to the timetable quite strictly.

Please do enter the conference early so you have time to fix any technical issues. Even without any technical difficulties, the logging in process may take 10 minutes. Once you are in the conference, and you are sure all is working, simply stay logged in but do something else - like make a cup of tea - until 10.20.

When you follow the link, you will see a login screen.

Enter your own name.

If all is well, the JAVA program will start. On some browsers, you may need to answer questions such as this:

On some browsers, instead of launching the JAVA program, it will just be saved in your downloads folder. In “chrome”, you just see this at the bottom of your browser…

…you now need to double-click the JAVA file in order to run it. The next process may take a few minutes.

Soon you should see JAVA loading, like this:

ATTENTION! At this point, you may be asked about the speed of your connection. It is important that you choose the correct speed. If you are on wireless, choose wireless.

When you enter, you will have normal delegate rights. You can only do two things: listen, and ask questions by typing in the “chat” area. You cannot speak.

Problems hearing? Try this first If you are having problems in hearing the audio, then Select “Tools” then “Audio” and “Audio Setup Wizard”, and follow the instructions.

Using the chat to ask questions of the speaker You can use the chat to put questions to the speaker at the end of their talk. You can type your questions at any point in the talk, but it will only be answered at the end. When the speaker has finished, Séverine will select certain questions from the chat window and will ask the speaker to respond to them.
