³Convention on Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of 

Ships´ (Norway, 2005), will affect:

1. Design, construction, operation and preparation of shipsso as to facilitate safe and environmentally sound recycling; without compromisingthe safety and operational efficiency of ships

2. Operation of recycling facilitiesin a safe and environmentally sound manner;

3. Control of shore side ship recycling operationsby certification, reporting requirements, requiring recycling plan
