1) Since the Congress in Poland 2009 until the UEF GCM in France:

- In the beginning of July 2009 I kindly asked by e-mail all UEF members to send me proposals for their international activity about contacts between the UEF member organizations and interaction between foresters.

      - Between 27 th and 30 th of August 2009 - "Consilva Cup" - in Deva, Romania, where participated about 200 foresters from Romania, Croatia and Hungary. The sportive disciplines were: football, chess, darts and table tennis.

      - Between 17 th and 19 th of November 2009 - a Romanian delegation of 9 members from Consilva made a visit in Austria for a professional experience exchange with representatives of the Austrian Association of the Foresters.     

      - Between 19 th and 21st of January 2010 - Consilva delegation participated to a meeting with the board of Sindsilva in Moldova Republic. We prepared the common activity program for 2010.

  - Between 20th and 23rd of March 2010 - a delegation lead by the Croatian Foresters Union secretary Gordana Colnar came to Romania.

- Between 26th and 28th of April 2010 - a delegation of 46 foresters form Consilva made a visit in Germany where it met foresters from Koblenz for a professional experience exchange.

- Between 29th of April and 1st of May2010 - a delegation of 46 foresters from Consilva made a visit in Luxembourg where they met some representatives of the Association of the Foresters from Luxembourg for a professional experience exchange.

     

- Between 5th and 7th of May 2010 - a delegation from Sindsilva – Moldova Republic made a visit in Romania at the invitation of Consilva for professional experience exchange.

- Between 7th and 16th of May 2010 - a delegation of 33 foresters from Germany came to Romania for a professional experience exchange.

- Between 17th and 21st of May 2010 - a Polish delegation of 18 foresters came to Romania for a professional experience exchange.

- Between 27th and 30th of May 2010 - Sportive International Competition of the Foresters from Umag, Croatia. It was organized by Croatian Foresters Union. The participants were foresters from: Croatia, Romania, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.

- Between 7th and 10th of June 2010 - a delegation from Consilva made a visit in France for a professional experience exchange.

2) Since the UEF GCM in France until the end of 2010 (manifestations which were announced until now) :

  - Between 26th and 29th of August 2010 - International Sportive

Competition for foresters in Tirgu Jiu in Romania - It is an invitation for the UEF members to participate.

- Between 1st and 8th of August 2010 – a delegation formed by 42 foresters from Consilva will keep a professional seminar (theme: “The role of forestry organizations in 2010 for the protection of the foresters in European Countries”) in Nessebar, Bulgaria.

- In September 2010 a Consilva delegation will visit Poznan region in Poland.

- Between 18th and 24th of September 2010 a delegation from Czech Forestry Society will make a visit in Romania.

- In September 2010 a delegation from the Foresters Association of Luxembourg will visit Romania.

- In October 2010 an Austrian delegation will visit Romania.

3) Initiatives

An Initiative Committee will be formed to create an UEF Senior Department. The role of this department is to share the senior foresters’ professional experience to the young foresters and to be consulted regarding the UEF activity strategy.

On 6th of May 2010 we kindly asked - by e-mail - to all the UEF members to request the European Commission and to the European Commission for Agriculture and Rural Development to create a Directorate General or a Directorate for forests.

4) Conclusion

The contacts between the UEF members and the European foresters should have a wide participation of the UEF member organizations and should be supported by the UEF through financial support. In present, this important activity of UEF is not financially supported by UEF. It is necessary an UEF financial support for organizing international professional meetings and forestry forums.
