The qualifying criteria for MOE Financial Assistance are:

(i) gross income of the whole family must be $2500 or below

or

(i) per capita income must be $625 or below

You may proceed to the classroom located on the ground floor ofclassroom block (refer to last page of information letter, Annex 1) tocomplete the application today [22 Dec 2016].

Alternatively, your child may obtain the MOE Financial AssistanceApplication Form from the same classroom. The deadline forsubmission of the form to the General Office is 3 January 2017.

Students who join the school with the following T-Score will be awardedthe PRCS School Advisory Committee scholarship of $400 based on thefollowing criteria:

Students who qualify will receive the award during our school’s SpeechDay in April.

1. All students will have to pay their school fees throughGIRO.

2. Please collect the GIRO form from the General Office ifyou have not signed up for the GIRO payment with theprimary school.

3. Please return the completed form to the General Officeby 3 January 2017.

• Please proceed to the classroom blocks [ground floor]to purchase the school uniform, PE attire andtextbooks.

• Alternatively, there is an online service for the purchase of textbooks via the following website: www.pacificbookstores.com.

• Do refer to the booklist for more information.

• White shoes / sports shoes that are predominantlywhite

• Shoe lace has to be white

• Socks must cover the ankle; all white without any logo

For safety reasons, students are not allowed to leaveschool for lunch before CCA or any afternoonactivities.

To ensure the safety of your child/ward, we seek your continual supportand cooperation in the following:

• Parents can drop off child/ward at the bus-stop just outside theschool.

• Parents who drive their child/ward to school in the morning are toturn left when exiting the school to avoid holding the traffic.

• Kindly follow the traffic markings within the school and only dropoff your child/ward at the designated drop off point, i.e. the SchoolTower.

• Remind your child/ward not to jaywalk but use the pedestriancrossings at all times.

• Advise your child/ward not to use earphones/headphones or usehis/her mobile phone when walking to school, as it would reducehis/her level of alertness of the traffic condition.

Email address of Home Tutors (HTs) can be used for communication purposes. Currently, these are 2016 Home Tutors. Do check the website in Jan for 2017 HTs.

1. Students who are exempted from MTL in primary school, pleasefurnish the school with the letter. There is no need for re-application.

2. All Higher Chinese Language and Higher Tamil Language areconducted during school hours.

3. Students who are eligible for Higher Mother Tongue (HMT) willreceive an eligibility letter.

4. For students who are not eligible and still interested to apply forHigher Mother Tongue, please go to the General office to see MdmPhyllis Tan, HOD/MT.

Your child/ward must do the following:

1. Report to school in full school uniform including canvas shoes by7:20 am.

2. Assemble at the respective classrooms (level 4) according to theclass assigned: 1/1 – 1/7.

Bring the following :

i. An English story book for the Reading Period

ii. Stationery

iii. Student Data form

iv. Medical declaration form

v. Interbank GIRO form ( if applicable)

vi. Financial Assistance application form (if applicable)

For the Pupil Confidential File, please bring a photocopy of the followingdocuments:-

•Birth certificate

•Passport / Student pass (for foreigners)

•PSLE result slip

•Both parents’ NRIC, front and back, please state colour

•Mother Tongue exemption letter (if applicable)

•Work permit (if applicable)

•Employment pass (if applicable)

•Any other documents (e.g. medical reports of student)

• School will arrange to take passport-sized photographs of studentsduring the first week of school.

• 8 passport-sized photographs for $5.

• Payment to be made directly to the vendor.

• These photographs would be used for confidential file, report bookand school matters.

• As part of our school’s continuous effort to keep strong school-home link, we will be holding a Secondary 1 Parents’ briefingand CCA Carnival on 7 January 2017, Saturday, from 8.00 am to12 pm.

• Please take note that there will be no parking facilities availablein the school premises as the parade square will be used toshowcase the various CCAs.

• Parents are requested to park at the HDB carpark opposite themain gate or at the multi-storey carpark at Block 458A. Theusual parking charges will apply.

Please note that there would be 5 CCA trials for the Secondary 1students on the following dates.

Attendance is compulsory.
