    1.0 General Design Concept The start-up/Blowdown system is to collect and discharge excess water from HP, LP and Integral Deaerator system. And, the blowdown system has the task to receive the water/steam of the continuous blowdown HP drum, LP drum and Storage tank. All water arising is collected in the blowdown tank and discharged to HRSG area sump. The system fulfils the following requirements :

    l to collect water from HRSG system. l to receive water from the drums during normal operation. l to deliver collected water into HRSG area sump.

    l to control discharged water temperature down to 70 deg.C during normal operation

    using service water.

    l to control discharged water temperature down to 90 deg.C during start-up using service water .

    l To collect the drains from the start-up and shutdown systems of each HRSG.

    The resulting vapor is led to the atmosphere by means of an exhaust vapor pipe: Level indicator is installed to check level of blowdown tank. The design of the blowdown tank is based on the applicable codes. 1.1 Applicable Code 1.1.1 US STANDARDS

    2.0 Operation Concept 2.1 Preparations Service water system for quenching shall be in a stage of ready. . 2.2 Start-up and Shutdown The maximum drainage discharge to blowdown system occurs during plant start-up. Therefore both HRSGs can be started only if blowdown system is ready. 2.3 Operation, Closed and Open Loop Controls The outlet water temperature of blow down tank would be controlled to meet 70 deg.C at normal operating and 90 deg.C at start-up by quenching water control valve(PAA90AA151) detecting signal from TIC(LCQ60CT101) of DCS.
