XFactor singer X-rated
Josh Brookes
Josh behaved in an
inappropriate
manner that put him
in breach of his
responsibilities
TWITTER fans of The X Fac-
tor contestant dumped fromthe talent contest claim axedsinger Josh Brookes had sol-icited nude photos from fol-lowers during a Twitcam chatthis week.
The 20-year-old labourerwas hosting an unauthorisedlive chat with another hope-ful, Adil Memon, when theyallegedly asked fans to ‘‘sendus banana pics’’.
It is understood the phrase
is teen talk fornaked images.
Memon, 18,was voted off theChannel 7 pro-gram on Tuesdaynight, but Broo-
kes was disqualified over theincident when it was broughtto the attention of producersFremantleMedia Australia.
In a swift response notprompted by media inquiries,Seven issued a statement con-
firming the serious breach ofits social media policy.
‘‘During an out-of-hourssocial media session Joshbehaved in an inappropriatemanner that put him inbreach of his responsibilitiesto this program. After a care-ful review of the incident, Fre-mantleMedia Australia, pro-ducers of the program, together with Channel 7 madea joint decision to remove himfrom the competition. Josh
will return home to Perth,’’Seven said.
It leaves Spice Girls’ Mel Bwith one contender, JasonOwen, with a replacement forBrookes ‘‘to be announced inthe coming days’’.
This had been Brookes’second attempt at the compe-tition, having made it to lastyear’s boot camp stage beforebeing left out of Guy Sebas-tian’s final three under-25male performers.
Topless pics awful: KylieKYLIE Minogue wasdisgusted by the recentpublication of toplessphotographs of Cath-erine, Duchess ofCambridge and hasbranded the pictures‘‘creepy’’ and ‘‘awful’’.
The British royal hitheadlines when Frenchmagazine Closer ranpictures showing herstripping off during arecent break in Proven-ce with her husbandPrince William.
Australian pop starMinogue has nowthrown her support be-hind the duchess, call-ing the photographerwho took the pictures apeeping Tom.
‘‘If you’re on privateproperty you should beable to do whatever youlike,’’ she said.
‘‘That story . . . I don’tsee why that’s not con-sidered to be like apeeping Tom and that’screepy, it’s awful.’’
Neil Patrick Harris has bad news for How I Met Your Mother fans, saying thisseason should be the last. ‘‘Our contracts end at the end of (season eight), soit’s one of those, you know, if they wanna do nine, they’re welcome to, butwe have a lot of other things (going on),’’ Harris told Access Hollywood
