Competition Rules

The 2017 edition of Competition Rules for IOF Foot Orienteering Events

including its Appendix 9 for The Asian Orienteering Championships and

the current OAHK Competition By-Law will apply.

Maps

All the event maps will be newly surveyed in 2017 and 2018, according

to ISOM 2017 for Middle Distance and ISSOM for Sprint Events.

Scale sprint distance map – 1 : 5000, Contour interval – 2.5m

Scale middle distance map – 1 : 10 000, Contour interval – 5m

No version of old maps of the area

Map extracts and terrain descriptions will be published in the next

Bulletins.

Punching System

The Sportident punching system will be used in all competitions.

Entries & Prizes

Entris are opened for everyone. Entry forms and accommodation

booking form will be available at MEOSC Orienteering Malaysia Club

Event web site (www.malaysiaorienteering.com) thereafter

For World Ranking Events classes W/M 21 Elite it is obligatory to

make entries using IOF Eventor !

First 3 places in each class medals and diplomas, and 4-6 places only

diplomas

Anti Doping

Doping is forbidden: “Think positive – test negative“. All competitors

shall follow the IOF Anti-Doping Code.

Accommodation

Accommodation can be rented at the HOTEL UPSI, any bookings

can be arranged through the organizer during registration.

Prices will be release in Bulletin nr. 2

ENTRY FEES:

Entry fees for W/M21E classes are 40 Euro Per person/day.

For other classes prices are 40 Euro all ages

ENTRY DEADLINE:

Deadline for entries is 21st April 2018.
