Learn more about senior non-medical home care here http://www.brightstarcare.com/senior-non-medical-home-care/. In this nice PPT we bring to you a few important caregiver resources Caregivers often do so much more than provide care. They are companions, friends and, often times, become family, to those in their care. Caregivers endure increased risks of depression and illness, especially if they don't receive enough support. It is important for caregivers to realize that being exhausted, stressed or "burned out" will diminish the quality of care they can provide. The old axiom rings especially true for the Sandwich Generation: in order to care for others, you have to care for yourself. One of the best support strategies for caregivers is to make sure they are aware of and understand the resources that are available to them. Here are some of the best caregiver resources. Family Caregiver Alliance (FCA) The National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC) The National Family Caregivers Association(NFCA) Family Caregiving 101 The National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a) Independent Transportation Network® ITNAmerica The National Council on Aging (NCOA): BenefitsCheckUp® My Medicare Matters Home Equity Advisor Next Step in Care The Well Spouse Association
