I want to personally thank you for joining us in the mile high city, aka Denver, for our 12th Annual A/E/C HR Summit. Your attendance this year is especially meaningful to me, as you have had to deal with three delays, overcome ongoing concerns of the Coronavirus, an uncertain future, media paranoia, and maybe even potential backlash from your own organization about ‘non-essential’ travel. Well, you made it, and behalf of all of us at The Employee Engagement Group, your sponsors, fellow presenters, and attendees, THANK YOU!!! Your commitment to the Summit has never been more strongly tested.
Your health and safety will be our most important priority over the next few days, and we will follow CDC guidelines for our meetings to ensure a healthy and safe environment for our employees, speakers, and of course, all attendees.
From my early days starting the Summit in Newport Beach, CA in 2010 with 35 attendees, our Summit has now become the largest gathering of HR professionals in the industry, with pre- covid attendance routinely surpassing 200. I’m proud to say the dedicated team from The Employee Engagement Group (TEEG) continues to make this Summit possible each year by putting in hundreds of hours of effort. Thank you team TEEG for your tireless effort and commitment over the past 18 months - a period which we saw many additional hours of rescheduling, endless contract re-negotiations, agenda changes, and attendee deferrals.
That said, 'the show must go on' and we believe we have put together an amazing conference with a theme of RECHARGE: your performance, culture and hiring. We continue to evolve the agenda based on your input – so again, we have built in lots of time to network with your fellow colleagues, speakers, and fellow attendees. The relationships you build this week will last a lifetime - both professionally and personally.

Lisa is a certified Strategic HR Business Partner with 20+ years of experience in HR management, business management, and operations. Her experience with the AEC industry is spread across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. She is currently the Talent Development Manager and Strategic Business Partner at BHC RHODES, a civil engineering consulting firm in Overland Park, KS, and has served as a member of the senior leadership team since joining the company in April of 2014. Lisa also has 15 years of sales experience, which has enhanced her focus on proven profitability and ROI of her HR team.

Tammy Jordan
Tammy is a speaker, trainer, coach, and consultant in many things HR and Organization Development. She works with organizations on leadership development, diversity and inclusion initiatives, employee engagement strategies, and managing rapid growth and change. Tammy’s professional career has included positions in healthcare, hospitality, not-for-profit, and consulting. Tammy brings over 20 years of experience to her clients. Most of her clients represent the A/E/C, hospitality, property management, health care, and manufacturing industries. Additionally, Tammy specializes in women’s leadership issues and has created coaching and leadership development programming addressing the challenges women face in the workplace. As a full-time work-from- home mother, she understands the nuances found in the term ‘work/life integration and applies this real-life experience to her work each day.

She is a SHRM Certified Professional and a Certified DiSC Facilitator. Ms. Clowers currently serves as the Human Resources Director for CEC Corporation, headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She considers people her passion and seeks to set them up for success. Julie leads the training and development function at Jacobsen Construction, an employee-owned general contracting firm in Salt Lake City. She has 18 years of human resource experience in the construction industry and 12 combined years of experience in learning and development. She holds a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Utah, a master's degree in human resources from Utah State University, and is a certified HR professional (PHR and SHRM-CP). Her current focus is on building and managing leadership development experiences, providing succession planning support, and fostering a change-agile culture. Julie believes that a career in A/E/C is “where it’s at” and looks forward to continuing to build the industry through its people.

Annie was a Human Resources Director in the AEC industry. She holds a BA in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Cincinnati, an MBA in International Business from Northern Kentucky University, a Masters of Strategic Human Resources and Development from the University of Denver and is SHRM-SCP certified. While Annie focuses on strategic Human Resources, she also worked for a decade in international sales. Her experiences as a staff employee, manager, HR pro, and parent-who-works culminated in her drive to create equitable and inclusive work environments.
