OROSORBHighly effective wetter containing OROWET technology based on natural orange oil
Orange oil is sourced locally from the South African citrus industry – therefore a sustainable source, unlike mineral oil
OROSORB does not cause stress in plants like certain mineral oils
Lipophilic properties of orange oil enhance wetting of waxy surfaces such as the cuticle of leaves, exoskeleton of insects and external structures of fungi
OROSORB will not cause pest repercussions like certain other adjuvants
Improves wetting and distribution beneath the bark during dormant applications on deciduous fruit and vines
Will cause re-wetting and re-distribution of contact pesticides during dew or light rain.
Treated surfaces will dry faster in the morning after dew or light rain
Prevent build-up of chemical residues in tanks and reduce clogging of nozzles

OROSORB contains oil. Will it have the same effect on plant physiology than certain mineral oils?
Orange oil in OROSORB is a volatile, natural essential oil.
It has no smothering effect and no negative effect on photosynthesis, therefore it does not cause stress in plants.
Won’t using OROSORB cause excessive run-off of spray water?
Many efficacy trials have been done with high-volume applications, showing that efficacy with OROSORB is often better than with the standard adjuvants, e.g. mineral oil or silicone adjuvants.
However, if excessive run-off does occur, then the calibration needs to be checked and adjusted if necessary.
Does OROSORB affect pH or salts in hard water?
OROSORB will not affect pH.
If water quality needs to be adjusted, a suitable buffer or salt complexing agent (e.g. ammonium sulphate) must be used.
Add the water conditioning agent first, then chemicals and then OROSORB when the tank is nearly full.
Certain adjuvants cause an outbreak of secondary pests. Will OROSORB have the same effect?
OROSORB has the opposite effect -it will prevent the build-up of secondary pests like mites or mealybug.
It has minimal impact on beneficial insect populations.
