The Part 3 Test in a nutshell

Remember that the Test doesn't even Remember that the Test doesn't even pretendpretend to be "real life".to be "real life".

Any exam, test - or job-interview - needs to take a "miniature snapshot" of the candidate and then makes assumptions about the "bigger picture".





A Part 3 Test Examiner is asking the following questions :

"Is this a potential ADI who will :

meet and greet me pleasantly,








tell me what I'm going to achieve today,









link it to what I've done already .....









link it to subject[s] I've covered already .....

and check I'm sitting correctly in a properly-adjusted car before letting me start off?"






"Is this a potential ADI who will meet and greet me pleasantly, tell me what I'm going to achieve today, link it to subject[s] I've covered already and check I'm sitting correctly in a properly-adjusted car before letting me start off?"

If I'm not fully-trained [or a beginner] : i.e. PHASE 1 of the Test

"Will they give me in clear English an overview of what I'm about to go and do,

then TEACH me through the subject when on the road...






"Is this a potential ADI who will meet and greet me pleasantly, tell me what I'm going to achieve today, link it to subject[s] I've covered already, and check I'm sitting correctly in a properly-adjusted car before letting me start off?"




and/or watch me through a drive to a "site" where that overview and teaching takes place;










and/or watch me through a drive to a "site" where that overview and teaching takes place;

then back off a bit and offer to PROMPT me,






"Is this a potential ADI who will meet and greet me pleasantly, tell me what I'm going to achieve today, link it to subject[s] I've covered already,and check I'm sitting correctly in a properly-adjusted car before letting me start off?"




and/or watch me through a drive to a site before that overview and teaching takes place;


then back off and WATCH ME “PERFORM”,










and/or watch me through a drive to a site before that overview and teaching takes place;


then back off and WATCH ME “PERFORM”,

giving me feedback at all time on how I'm getting along?"
