This style can truly be considered the classic

American work shoe. In the early 1900s, when

Red Wing Shoe Company first began to service

rural America, this style of shoe became vastly

popular across the country. Versatile and reliable, it

was used in farm fields and blacksmith workshops

during the day before being cleaned and shined up

for a night out on the town. It was the all-purpose

shoe for many years in many industries. Today,

the Blacksmith is built using premium Red Wing

leathers and a durable Nitrile Cork sole. The extra

height of this six-inch style keeps out snow in the

winter and dirt in the summer, while the classic

construction keeps feet comfortable even after long

hours of work.

Roughneck

Constructed with northland durability, the Ice

Cutter’s original purpose was to provide rugged

northern workers with an insulated boot built on

an aggressive lug sole capable of gripping ice and

snow. This style can weather it all thanks to its

northern pedigree, where civilization doesn’t shut

down during the depths of winter and boots are

required to be as resilient as the people who wear

them. Built using natural wool for insulated warmth

and beautiful Otter Tail leather, the Ice Cutter is

inherently water and ice resistant.

In America’s 19th century, the bold and hardworking

men who labored on oil rigs had one of the most

dangerous occupations around. In order to do their

jobs in these hazardous conditions the men needed

to be tough and have a taste for challenging work.

These traits were how oil rig workers receivedthe nickname, “Roughnecks.” Inspired by these

hardworking roughnecks, Red Wing’s Round Lug

styles were built not only to look tough, but act

tough. Their distinctively rugged appearance is

enhanced by our classic Roughneck leather.

The local residents of the Mesabi Iron Range in

northern Minnesota are proudly known as Iron

Rangers due to their rugged toughness. The Iron

Ranger work boots were built for iron miners in

this region who required a double layer of leather

The Beckman Collection is named after Charles

Beckman, the company’s founder. Mr. Beckman

owned a shoe store in Red Wing. In his advertising

he promoted himself as Beckman, The Shoe Man.

As a prosperous Main Street merchant, he saw

first-hand the need for durable and comfortable

boots. In 1905 when he couldn’t find boots to

meet his needs, he started his own shoe company.

Navigating the muddy streets of Red Wing was

part of his daily routine. He needed sturdy boots

that could be polished to match his status as

a successful Main Street merchant.

Our chukka boots combine a simple boot upper with

Red Wing’s Atlas Tred sole. Unlike other Red Wing

work boots, the work chukka was designed for lighter

duty and finish carpenters were the primary users.

While their boots needed to be sturdy, they needed

them to also be light and flexible to accommodate

the bending, climbing and kneeling the work day

required.

Red Wing Heritage’s Foreman Chukkas combine a

simple leather boot upper with Red Wing’s durable

neoprene cushion sole. The Foreman Chukka is a

lightweight shoe that takes our timeless chukka

design and attaches it to our comfortable neoprene

work sole. The neoprene outsole was designed

to provide traction and long-wearing support for

workers who spend hours on their feet and move

between various terrain. This versatile sole is an ideal

partner for our stylish and enduring chukka upper.

This combination created the Foreman Chukka, a

shoe designed to work and relax both outdoors and

indoors while standing up to any environment.

In the 1950s policemen still walked their beats and

the postman walked his mail route. They needed

comfortable and sturdy footwear for the hours spent

on their feet. In 1954, Red Wing responded with

style #101, a sturdy black oxford with a moldable

insole. It could be polished to meet their uniform

requirements, but tough enough for everything their

day encountered. The 101 would go on to be part

of the Red Wing brand for 46 years and sell over 2

million pairs. It became one of the bestselling styles

in company history.

The Engineer collection was originally developed for engineers working on America’s railroads. These all-leather boots with pull-on styling used minimal stitching to

protect the engineer’s feet from the hot embers that fell from the locomotive’s firebox. The first engineer boots appeared in Red Wing’s 1941 catalog. They were advertised

as pull-on boots for engineers and truck drivers, the new engineers of the open road.

The S.B. Foot Tanning Company

was first established along the

banks of Trout Brook near Red

Wing, Minneasota. Founded in

1872 by Silas B. Foot and George

Sterling, the S. B. Foot Tanning

Company has been a part of the

Red Wing, Minneasota community

for generations.

Oil-Tanned Leather

S.B. Foot Tanning Co. is best known for oil-tanned

leather which is used to build a variety of timeless

Red Wing styles. This leather is water, stain and

perspiration resistant, and has a more natural

look and feel because less finishing materials

have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to

shine through. Oil-tanned leather is exceptionally

durable and has been used to build countless work

boots throughout Red Wing’s 108+ year history.

Smooth-Finished Leather

Smooth-finished leathers have a polished surface

that enhances the true beauty and quality of the

leather. Only the most premium, top-quality hides

are used to craft smooth-finished leathers. The

result is a beautiful, classic-looking leather used

to build more elegant styles, such as the Red Wing

Heritage Beckman Collection. The polished look and

feel of the smooth-finished leather requires more

specialized care and attention to keep it maintained.

Roughout Leather

Roughout leather is created using a reverse-suede

technique at our very own S.B. Foot Tanning Co

While most tanneries split, thin and weaken the

hide to create the rough suede surface, we simply

use the other side of the hide. By doing so, we avoid

splitting or thinning our full-grain hides. This make

our Roughout leather just as strong and durable a

our other leathers.

MERCHANDISE RETURN POLICY

Defective Merchandise:Red Wing Brands of America, Inc. acceptsreturns of defective merchandise. There isno prior authorization required. A returnmerchandise memo must accompanydefective merchandise returns. Thereturn merchandise must be shippedprepaid and via the most economicalmeans. Transportation credit will beissued on defective merchandise andprompt credit will be issued on returneddefective merchandise.

Shipping Errors: Red Wing Brandsof America, Inc. accepts returns onmerchandise that is sent in error. This

product must be returned within 30days of delivery. A return merchandisememo must accompany the return along

with a copy of the invoice or packing slipindicating the returned shoe(s). Shoesreturned without a packing slip will bereturned to the dealer. The returnedmerchandise must be shipped prepaidand via the most economical means.Transportation credit will be issued onreturned shipping errors and promptcredit will be issued.

Special Orders: Special ordermerchandise may be returned within 30days of delivery. A return merchandisememo must accompany the return along

with a copy of the invoice or packing slipindicating the returned special ordershoe(s). Shoes returned without a copyof the invoice or packing slip will bereturned to the dealer. A $10 per pairre-stocking fee will be charged on all specialorders returned after 30 days.

All Other Returns: No other merchandisereturns will be accepted without priorauthorization from your Red Wing salesrepresentative. After authorization isgranted, a return merchandise memomust accompany your return along

with the original packing slip and the

return authorization number from yourRed Wing sales representative. Shoesreturned without the return authorizationnumber and the original packing slip

LIMITED WARRANTY RELATING

TO RED WING BRANDEDFOOTWEAR Red Wing branded footwear productsare warranted against defects in

workmanship and materials. If within 6months of purchase, a defect occurs in aRed Wing branded footwear product asthe result of normal use, Red Wing ShoeCompany, Inc. (“Red Wing”) will repairthe defect or exchange the product.

If a product defect occurs as the result ofnormal use within 6 to 12 months afterpurchase, Red Wing will repair the defector issue a credit for 50% of the purchaseprice. If a product defect occurs as theresult of normal use 12 months or moreafter purchase, Red Wing may, at itsoption, issue a fair and reasonable creditthat can be applied to the purchase ofRed Wing branded footwear. The amountof the credit will be determined in thedealer’s sole judgment. Product failurescaused by excessive or abusive wearconditions do not qualify for exchangeor purchase credit. This warranty isavailable only to the original purchaserand is not transferable. No adjustment

will be given without the original receiptof purchase. You must return yourfootwear to the Red Wing Shoe dea lerfrom which the footwear was purchased.
