Jacques Ozenne having infonned Judge Salmonthat he was named testamentary, execut or i n thewill ot decedent, t he j Udge ordered that saidwill be homologated alt the next session ot t heSUperior Council, end the parties proceeded totake i nventory.
Among the effects inventoried were household endkit chen utensils, clothing, a t runk with lockand key, a silver service, a silver ear ring , achest, coins of vari ous kinds, totaling 630 l1vres,and tools of the goldsnithls trade.

Sr. Henry, Notary, repaired to the home oftestator, whom he found lying in bed, ill inbody but sound of mind.
After recommending his soul to God and to theintercession of his pstron, Saint Stephen,testator declared that he desired to be buriedas simply as possible. He declared that he hadno heirs in this colony and that what littleproperty he owned was acqUired by him with hisearnings.
Testator desired tha"t his property be dividedinto two equa1"lotsl' one to be given to theHospital for the Poor and the other to theCapuchin Fathers for funeral fses and Massesfor the repose of testatorts soul.
He gives and bequeaths to Marie Magdelaine,wife of Jean Baptist~ Mont pi er r e , in recognitionof faithful service, a table, six chairs, severalkitchen utensils and goblets.
