We really do need your help in collecting as
many stamps as possible!!! Please save any
stamps you receive and send them into school as
soon as possible. The collection box is located
just outside the school office. Thank you.
Reverend Nicholls would just like to remind
everyone that they are more than happy for our
Parents/Carers to use St Chad’s Church car
park. We obviously wish to keep the children
as safe as possible when arriving and leaving
school so please remember to park safely and
legally. DID YOU KNOW if you park on the
pavement you could receive 3 penalty points
and £100 fine. If you continue to do this you
could receive 6 points and a £200 fine!!
We continue to apply BLP in our teaching and learning, encouraging our children to be independent, powerful learners. Here are just a few of the advantages in provides:
• capitalises on previous learning-to-learn ideas
• grows a child’s learning character and habits
• develops the appetite and ability to learn in different ways
• transforms the culture of the classroom and the climate of the
school
• shifts responsibility for learning to learn from the teacher to
the learner
• engages teachers and pupils creatively as researchers in
learning Why not ask your child how they use BLP in their learning and if you would like to know more about it please follow this link:

HOW OFTEN TO GOVERNORS MEET? The full Governing Body meet twice a term, in the evening, and the meetings usually last about 2 hours. The committees - Finance & People, Standards & Achievements, Buildings, Premises & Health & Safety - meet at least once a term. There are also panels who meet as and when required. The committees and panels are made up of members of the full Governing Board. If you have any concerns or comments the Governing Board can be contacted by writing to the Chair of Governors, c/o Hollyfield School.
