• During the Vietnam war, The Beatles changed music in theUSA and around the world.

• Martin Luther King becomes famous with his Dream.

• John F. Kennedy is assassinated in 1963, after serving theoffice of president for three years. For the first time in History,a human being sets his foot on the Moon, in the MoonLanding of July 1969.

• The Cold war was going on during this time but the mostimportant was the Vietnam War (1959 – 1975). Also the Bayof Pigs Invasion (1961) and Portuguese Colonial War, (1961-1974).

consciousness. Mahatma Gandhi, Malcolm

X, Martin Luther king, Che Guevara, Mother

Teresa, they lead a revolution themes. The

Beatles, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix created

revolution and evolution themes. The music

was like Dali, with many colours and

revolutionary ways. The youth of today

must go there to find themselves.”

James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix was an

American musician, singer and

songwriter. Despite a limited

mainstream exposure of four years, he

is widely considered one of the most

influential electric guitarists.

The Beatles were an English rock

band formed in Liverpool in 1960.

Their best-known lineup, consisting

of John Lennon, Paul McCartney,

George Harrison, and Ringo Starr,

became considered by many as the

greatest and most influential act of

rock era.

The arrival of the Beatles in the

U.S., and subsequent appearance

on The Ed Sullivan Show, marked

the start of the British Invasion in

which a large number of rock and

roll, beat and pop performers from

Britain gained massive popularity in

the U.S.
