1st week report

Internship At Nestle (R&D)

In my first week of internship I had my induction with the engineering team:

1. Head of department2. Utility senior engineer3. Electrical and Automation senior engineer4. Energy department senior engineer

After the induction with engineering team, I was allotted my internship project which is Thermodynamic Energy and Mass balance analysis to identify energy wastage areas and give suggestions to reduce those.

In other days I got my work done regarding IT applications and later had an induction with safety department.

After that induction I was allotted my safety equipments like safety shoes, lab coat, safety glasses etc.

And later in this week I read a document on “Culinary Steam”, it is the steam used by Nestle to cooking process.

Specifications of this steam are:

1. Food-grade (safe for use in food).2. Free from any chemicals or impurities.3. Safe to come in direct contact at any time of manufacturing.4. Safe to use for cleaning or sterilization.

For the next week my agenda is to see the working of Pilot Plant and to get more information regarding my project.
